RPGs with a Water World setting

Are there any with that kind of setting? Mods are good, and Im willing to settle for non RPGs as well, but not RTS.

The only one that comes to mind would be certain parts of FFX.

There's a game for Playstation 2 that I don't quite remember the name of, but it was a submarine game. Not an RPG though. It had something to do with Depths or Red or something... Sorry?

There's a poorly voiced one for Sega Saturn called Deep Fear.

If you want something short, Ikachan by Pixel is about a water world.

...Final Fantasy III? The waterworld part doesn't last, but you do have a submarine for much of the game.

God damn I am so behind on RPGs.

Um.

Waterworld type huh?

Maybe....Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker?

You know..the one where you sail across a massive ocean-esque body of water all the time?

Skies of Arcadia.

Except substitute "water" for "sky".

Skies are for people who are afraid of drowning or being shark bait. Seriously, I am strongly considering modding Neverwinter Nights into a WW game, just becasue I love the settign of WW.

Did they ever make Water World: The Game?

Does it have to be like The Whole World is Covered in Water type of thing or would Here is a Game About Ships in the Ocean be good enough?

Melfice 10-03-2007 11:13 AM

Suikoden IV?
You'll spend most of the time travelling in a ship, moving from island to island.

Kenryoku_Maxis 10-03-2007 11:20 AM

Most RPGs that feature a large Water-World environment still make you land at islands or ships or ports to do the things you need to do. Suikoden IV, Chrono Cross, Wind Waker, this one game on the SNES I'm forgetting the title of (Nabunogas Ambition or something?).

I don't know of any RPGs that are really like WaterWorld the movie. Most actually take place mostly on dry land, although you still do a lot of movement on water.
