Plooooooooooooot Hoooooooooole!

And you can't say a wizard did it. That wizard said he would stop. So thats a dead excuse. Brian, I know that you are still recovering from MegaCon, but how can you forget this? You even said that there would be no plot holes! For those of you wondering what the hell I mean, look.

Exhibit A
Exhibit B

See the plot hole? If this is not a plot hole, please explain this then. And remember, the wizard didn't do it. And neither did the chocobo.

Thief is trying to get out of the situation making up BS excuses of why he's can't do what Red Mage wants him to do....

Nah, it's a plothole.

Kurosen 03-09-2004 06:44 PM

It's called "being funny." If continuity gets in the way of a joke, I ignore it.

Rocket S Shadow 03-09-2004 06:44 PM

I mentioned that in the thread for today's comic...

And isn't so much as a plothole, just a mistake in dialogue...

Edit: nvm Brian beat me to posting XD

Plus I also read his faq section to, and he clearly stated it in there. And I quote: Q: I found a mistake or plot hole in your comics, where do I report it?
A: Nowhere. Outside of the occasional typo, there are no mistakes or plot holes. If you think you've found one and you can't figure out how to get around it, it's because a wizard did it.

So shut up or I stab you to death. That or ill have you talk to fighter. :fighter: I like Swords

Remember: thief is able to lie. He can tell big lies, such as saying he's a real Light Warrior, and he can tell little lies and make misleading statements. He might be hiding his full capabilities (which have been demonstrated earlier), or he might just be using a figure of speech.

And also: He said "I can steal anything that isn't nailed down or on fire." He never said he could not steal things that are nailed down or on fire, did he? He said that anything that is not nailed down or on fire is within his capability to steal. Some things which are nailed down with small nails or just a little bit on fire might also be stealable, for all we know.

The gripping hand is, it's a comic, not a work of high literature. Its aim is to amuse, and if that means not being anal about continuity, oh well!

am I the only one who is endlessly amused by the idea of someone stealing something that is on fire?

Canibalistic Shoe 03-09-2004 09:23 PM

This is still funny stuff, just because he used it over doesn't make any difference.

The orb of fire came to mind when I read that.
