#904: "You're the experts."

It would appear that Dragoon's not quite as smart as the Light Warriors first suspected.

That, or they're really stupid.

Demetrius 10-08-2007 11:19 PM

I cried a little inside when I read that one...

Regulus Tera 10-08-2007 11:24 PM

You were not the only one. 'Cept my cries were ones of joy.

I thought that was the entire premise of the comic.

Brian, there's a typo in panel one if you haven't already caught it.

On a less annoying note, if this leads (in any way, shape, or form) to some kind of showdown slash big ol' confrontation between the light warriors and that other group... I'll be so happy.

Lord Setheris 10-08-2007 11:58 PM

Part 1 of my prediction is right.
Now Tiamat ate the orb, right?

Meister 10-09-2007 12:03 AM

If we're finally going to find out what the Other Warriors' deal is I'll be a happy Meister. Maybe they work for Tiamat.

aotd 10-09-2007 12:12 AM

btw, am I the only one to notice once BM starts talking Fighter seems to be ummm... "resting" in the background with a knife in his back?

No, I saw it and giggled at it. GIGGLED I SAY.

...I hate that word, actually.

bananarama 10-09-2007 12:52 AM

I want those mustaches the Other Warriors are wearing...so damned awesome...

I used to have a set of them (or something similar). It was quite fun if you eployed them correctly.

henke37 10-09-2007 02:37 AM

The fun part is to use the mustaches even when it looks insane to wear them.
Like if you got a full face beard.

BetaRuler 10-09-2007 05:39 AM

I love some of the disguises in used in the history of 8bit :) the one BM once used ages ago was one of the best, "is this the face of a liar?" and so on.

Love that one, I truly think Dragoon is as smart as Red Mage though... I dunno but the 2 seem to be very similar, down to silly details like dun dun duun.

Maybe Cleric made a deal with Tiamat or something.

Glad to see the Other Warrior theory come true, though. Also, I like the stabbed Fighter you can see behind Black Mage.

FloralVikings 10-09-2007 08:52 AM

I love the fact that Fighter is mysteriously knife-wounded after he talks. Wonderful.

Bobo_Jinky 10-09-2007 09:15 AM

I just noticed the Fighter in the background with a knife in his back. Very nice touch.

BetaRuler 10-09-2007 12:11 PM

Same, I only noticed it when the others pointed that out, that's gotta be a good point to make these comics re-readable, adding in little background details like that that you may ignore first time, then some one points that out and your like "what?" and then you find out :p... you know what I mean

Jothki 10-09-2007 12:23 PM

Genii?

bluestarultor 10-09-2007 01:16 PM

Half of the fun of the comic is the random background stuff. Like when RM fell over from the weight of Garland's armor way back or when WM broke out double hammers on BM when they first encountered Ranger.

I figured that the OWs had it. Now all they have to do is find them and have Thief steal something for a change. It's been a while. And, while he's at it, he might take a few arrows...

And bows, axes, Gil, and anything else he can carry and several more he can't. XD

42PETUNIAS 10-09-2007 02:03 PM

I wouldn't say half, but it's definitly a nice touch. Adds a little something on re-reads if you missed it the first time.

Whack Mage 10-09-2007 03:01 PM

Those tricky D&D characters and their diplomacy skill!

And even smart dragoons fail some diplomacy checks. Too bad he put all his points in the "Jump into a dragon's throat with a spear" skill.

Edit: I find it hilarious that BM has left the knife in Fighter. And they're so used to it, nobody has said anything.

Demonlink2 10-09-2007 03:05 PM

Maybe it's an issue on my side, but this comic has funny colors on some people.

Yeah, it's definitely my side.

Otherwise, great comic.

Link_991 10-09-2007 03:41 PM

What if Thief sold the door to door door salesmen idea to the other warriors?

Yoshimitz707 10-09-2007 05:21 PM

Is fighter stupid again? When did that happen?

BetaRuler 10-09-2007 06:49 PM

Looks like they'll have to find and ask those other warriors what they did with the orb eh? Right after Thief might FINALLY blatantly steal everything else in Dragoons tower that isn't bolted down or on fire. maybe he could even steal the tower itself, I can imagine Dragoon not correlating the dissapearance of his own tower after the Light Warriors departure... I just want Thief to steal something again :|

I almost fell over laughing when I read that. It hadn't even crossed my mind =)

Rocketlex 10-09-2007 11:23 PM

Oh man, this is an awesome twist. Nice to see forum speculation be right for once.

Sky Warrior Bob 10-10-2007 06:07 AM

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and suspect that the Other Warriors quested for the Air Orb, so they could hand it over to Tiamat, who may or may not have been posing as Bahamut.

that is SO possible.

Art of Hilt 10-11-2007 07:50 AM

Door-to-door door salesmen?
Yes please.
