Bleach: Shattered Blade

This is a game that interested me back when i first heard of it. Unlike other games where simply wiggling the wii-mote works, swinging it horizontally makes your character swing the sword horizontally, same for vertically. Personally I'm hoping it goes even further then that. But I like Bleach and I like the idea. My only question is if anyone got their hands on it and if they screwed up would could have easily been a great game. I hope its atleast a fun one.

according to IGN most of the fights are a "rush job" to buld up your Special attack meeter, and the Motion cap is clunky but effective...
im actually lookign foward to have this game... as i ealy need another good brawller for my Wii to take the place of MKA.
But i really dont think i will want it if it dosent feature and Jap/Eng Audio Option...

I've never heard anyone say anything good about this, and it's an anime licence fighter so it's probably shit anyway.

not really man... i mean... the Naruto Titles almost always got great critics... Bleach for the Nintendo DS (USA version) seems pretty good... and the DBZ Tenkaichi series seems to be fun as hell... (i didnt buy tenkaichi 2 because im holding for 3)

Other than that, i really want's'a me some bankai action with mah wiimote!

rat flail for the win.

I have my doubts about how good this is going to be, as I have seen very few good anime fighters that aren't of the DBZ line, which in turn had a long line of crap games prior to the good games...kind of a "They had to try everything possible to figure out the best way to do it".

Besides, most of the fights in Bleach are a quick *Smack smack, ZOMG SUPER INSTAKILL MOVE*. The only ones that really seem to stretch out are among the fighters who "like to fight", such as Ichigo -- Kenpachi and Ichigo -- J...um...the jaw dude...
The Ichigo -- Pretty Guy fight only lasted as long as it did probably because they'd basically built up for something like 30 episodes to it.

After having the game for a few days I can safely say this is the best fighting game I've ever played.

Mind you, this is because it's not like any other fighter game I've ever played ever. Which is good cause I SUCK at fighting games most of the time.

Specials are simple to pull off, fights require knowledge of the actual abilities of the character, button mashing is, obviously, not possible, and the bankai attacks look pretty good. Overall, excelent gameplay that's new and inviting.

The story's nothing to write home about but with 36 Characters I can see why they woudln't have time for it.

Was that necessary? He likes the game. Maybe you could try playing it and THEN forming an opinion rather than mindlessly bashing it because of its license.

That said, its fun, but fun in the sense DBZ is fun. Lots of characters for dream anime matches. I'd say rent first, buy second. I do enjoy the bankais as well. Good times.

Yeah that was kind of mean. And on top of that, it was spammy, poorly punctuated mean.

I'm just saying if you're gonna be mean, you could at least have some kind of apparent point to your being mean. And maybe a question mark at the end of your mean question, I don't think that'd be so much to ask.

Well no. I've played Soul Calibur 2 and Tekken Tag Tournament, as well as most of the Bloody Roar series. You misunderstand what I'm saying though.

I'm saying I SUCK at those games cause I can't use just the right attack at just the right time, and if I starte getting pumbled, I panick and forget how moves are suppoe to be done and start button mashing in a frenzy.

See, Bleach's mechanics don't allow that to happen. It's much better for me to use.
