Ringtone hijacking
From Ringtone.com:

I heard about this on the radio and at first thought it sounded almost illegal. Forcing someone else's phone to play your ringtone? Or any host of illicit material you might (do) have stored on your phone? There's got to be a law somewhere. But, then I started thinking of all the songs I'd send different friends. It doesn't sound like such a bad idea when you start thinking about how you would use it. Still, there's something wrong about this. |
Oh, it's wrong all right, but all your friends will be too busy buying the fuck out of it to care.
|
Well I for one refuse to endorse this product/service by not owning a cell phone.
|
Oh God Title™!
I see really horrible/funny/embarrassing ways to use that.
Either they have to have a moderator... or... can you imagine someone taking an adult film soundtrack and 'pushing' it onto you phone in the middle of that big important meeting with the CEO? ...never getting a cell phone... |
Well, I imagine setting the cell phone to vibrate would negate the ringjacking. And, I interpreted it that it has to be a ringtone you bought, rather than just one you can upload.
|
It'd be hilarious if you kept on sending something like the Communist Anthem (not sure if that's the exact name) to your friends' cells. They'd be getting weird looks and suspicion thrown all over them :D.
|
How I would use it?
Dude..that makes it sound even more illegal. I'd be sending the most disgustingly obnoxious songs possible to everyone I could, whenever I could. Especially when they're at a place like the movies and they forgot to put it on vibrate. |

It's porn music I mean I don't really know how to break it down any more than that.
