Please help (about playstation emulators)
I have a ps emulator called connectix vgs. I went through a lot of shit trying to figure out how to get it to work. Well, I did, but how do I get a memory card for it? I searched for hours on downloadable memory cards. Can you please help me? How do I get a memory card for it?
|
How 'bout you just use ePSXe? That doesn't require no memory card or some shit, and it works great. You'll need the original disk tho.
|
How about you don't download emulators?

Hey, c'mon now. The guy's just looking for a little help. No need to put your opinion where it doesn't belong.
And besides, even the best emulater doesn't run as well as the real thing. Assuming this guy doesn't own a PS1 or a PS2, he's going to have to if he want's the best quality out of his games. Really, I'm as much against emulation as you are--you can't believe the amount of times I yelled at the people who'd rather download Metroid Zero Mission and play it on an emulater then buy the real thing. It's just that any real gamer wouldn't settle for that. He'd go out and play the real thing, y'know what I mean? And besides, how much could it hurt a billion dollar company if they miss out on selling one PS1? ...sorry, I'm rambling. I don't have anything against you, please don't make this into a flame war. I've made topics like this before and gotten flammed for it and felt like shit after words. And I don't want this guy to feel the same. Okay? |
First of all, I DO own a playstation, and the original CD I'm trying to play. Just my PS doesn't work and is all screwed up, but Sony still got all the wonderful money for the piece of shit that's as good as a paperweight they sold me.
Secondly, I did use ePSXe and it doesn't run the game well. It chops up, and freezes every 10 seconds. Thanks for the suggestion, but I only want a VGS memory card. |
Well, I have Connectix VGS on my PC. And, as far as I know, you only have to go to the Preferences sub-menu and hit the "Create..." button to create a memory card.
But I really think ePSXe works better for most games, if you get the right plugins and configurations. |
epsxe is infintely better, especially with the cheat plugin when you're trying to get past a hard part.
|
Meh, epsxe is the best, but is still really slow and freezes. Which I guess says something about ps emulators in general.
|
So nobody can help me? Well thanks anyways, I understand it's so f***ing hard to get your hands on a good working emulator.
|
the reason epsxe freezes is because of the video driver. download a new video driver. Pete's are the best by far
