Cant get into the second HDD
 

For some reason my computer wouldn't recognize my second hard drive. After a re-start it shows up in My Computer, but everytime I try clicking on it my computer freezes. Any ideas on how to fix it?

If you have data you need off of it, pull it and stick it in the freezer for a couple hours and you'll get about 15 minutes of life to snag what you need before you'll have to freeze it again.

Have you just installed the hard-drive, or has it been in there for a while and its now not reading anymore?

when I got my computer fixed a few weeks ago it was working fine. To make sure I tried accessing it. I dont know how long it hasn't been working since I have yet to need extra space.

Like I said, she's fried, good for holding down errant paperwork, toxic waste, not worth keeping, buy another and perform some data recovery.

actually I think I got it to work after using the systems diagnostic. Reason I say think is because its still touchy and I'm hesitant to try putting anything on it, plus I'm not 100% sure whats the proper way to save on a second hard drive

Have you tried Powerquest Partition Magic on it?
