Brian:the intellectual,the comical genius

i have created this thread to discuss the finer points of Brian the mastermind behind 8-bit theatre

the intellectual:Have you ever noticed the amount of intellegence not normally found on the internet?for some reason his characters' blather makes sense to me,their metaphysical theories and intelligent arguments are funny in the sense that he realized how unrealistic they are, yet how they affect our lives and the lives of his characters.

the comical genius:Brian put a bit of himself in each of his characters, but he did'nt realize that in turn,a lot of people saw themselves in his comics. His characters may not SEEM to be realistic but in fact they are, they are truly pieces of himself that werent bound by the other parts of himself this makes them so much more interesting, but in the process of simplifying their attributes,he actually made them more complex this makes him a genius(unintentional or otherwise)

Intelligence not normally found on the internet? Let's start with your typing skills. j/k I don't really see myself in the comics, and I'm pretty happy I am not part of the comics, what with all the explosions and death and stuff. I also find the theories presented in the series to be sensible. But, maybe I'm just thinking too hard half the time :D

Plus, I don't really think complexity is what makes Brian a "genius". I think it's his ability to come up with convincing stories and new jokes every week.

Brian is a master of philosophical humor - on par with Terry Pratchett. In any other country, (for the purposes of this post, assume that all those other liberal democracies are just more states) he'd be altogether too clever for his own good.

On a serious note, would it kill people to capitalize words that should be capitalized?

stoker: only if i feel like it. hardyharhar. j/k

glory emblem: You have several good points there. Perhaps it has to do with living by Sosa...they both have an aura of hilarity about them, and if real life works anything like Warcraft 3 or Diablo 2, their auras could stack, causing a double bonus in the funnyness skill.

I agree that maybe calling Brian a "genius" is a little too far. I mean, he's had his share of obvious jokes e.g. when Docor Malpractice goes to the bathroom and wasn't back for hours, Fighter says he needs to go after him. However, he does create a rarely seen and refreshing amalgam of sophistication and sophomoric humor that is to be admired. It is obviously a challenge to write consistently great quality comics on a regular basis, especially while being enslaved to several kats, something that I can relate to (the part about the kats, not the comics).

That's only if they were different enough.

Or perhaps too..Clevinger for his own good?

Furthermore, crazdgenius, don't spam like that. What a retarded and useless post.
