The strongest

Who is the strongest/most powerful person in 8-Bit Theater? I want to stray as far away from DBZ and power levels as possible, but still make a power comparison chart. I love making lists like this for some reason.

From what we have seen, my list would be.

MAGIC

1. Sarda since he can do anything.
2. RM since he can destroy the universe with Ice 9. Also he can use both white and black magic, but he never used white magic in the comic.
3. Hell King BM, he has all of his power, plus much more from taking over hell and he has 8 additional senses. He can also will that no mortal contracts apply to him.
4. Lich, Kary, and Kraken.
5. Matoya.
6. Regular BM since he has the hadoken, and can now learn blue magic.
7. WM, her only offensive spell that we have seen is Holy Fire, but she did make a very large explosion. Also she is a master at White Magic.
8. Garland since he can do some crazy summons.

I would include Chaos, Darko, Dr. Swordopolis, and Bahmut, but we have not seen them use any magic.

PHYSICAL Strength/Fighting Ability

1. Bahamut since he can cause earthquakes........
2. The Giants.
3. Matoya since she can withstand....earthquakes....:sweatdrop
4. Fighter since his Zodiac Fighting styles can do a lot of damage. Plus he fought both Lich and Kary to a standstill.
5. BB since he seemed to really fight well, and was said to be the best student in the dojo a little further to the east.
6. Berserker.
7. Drzzl since he was a good swordsman and fought Fighter almost equally.
8. WM since that hammer must be heavy and she can wield 2 of them at a time.
9. Theif now that he has crazy ninja abilities. Plus he threw Karaken pretty far.

Far Down: BM, he has puny mage arms.

As for the other characters including Dragoon, I have not seen them fight enough.

Hit Points. (Main Characters)

1. Fighter. He has survived so much, and can dent a solid stone wall with his head.
2. Red Mage. He can survive almost anything if he looses his pencil.
3.Thief.
4. BM

I didn't include anyone else because it is almost midnight and I am tired...

Anyway please post your opinions.

i think bm should be 2 or 3 for he has come back because of spite and he has taken more hits then thief

I think Kary would come in the strength comparison well, as she sliced BB up and couldn't slice Fighter up, so sorta in between the 2 maybe?

Her magic wasn't all really there was it? If the volcano was made to act according to her will she could done most of that by giving it commands, and the commands were made through some seal put on the volcano telling it to obey her... I'm just talking s*** there aren't I :p?

In a fight? BM all the way. He hits you with every big spell in the book, then after that, if you survive, even if you kill him, he comes back from the grave ever stronger.

and then stabs you....

I'm pretty sure that last time we had one of these threads it kinda degenerated into an 'everyone votes for his favorite character because 'OMGZ [so-and-so] IS LIEK SO AWESUM.'

Anyway, I suppose Black Mage will get most of the votes, simply because he has the most fans.

So, of course, in my horribly-biased opinion, it comes down to... er, Dr. Swordopolis, actually. HE CAN SLICE REALITY.

I totally just got the Kurt Vonnegut reference in that.

For the first time.[/fail]

Pfft, as if DBZ ever paid any attention to power levels. Goku is always the strongest, except when he's not. In that that case, he just needs to train harder. 'Cept in the movies, which don't have time for that sort of thing, and he just gets stronger at the last minute just because.

Just a correction there.

The only problem with your list, is that doesn't take into account what we suspect (Edited to add: check that, I just noticed that you do mention these considerations in passing, but its such a small blurb, that I didn't notice it at first). I mean, Bahamut, God-King of the dragons, upgraded all of the Light Warriors with barely an effort. Maybe Sarda could have done such a thing, but maybe such magic was even beyond him. You've got to wonder what he's capable of.

Also, there's Raven, the God who brought Thief back from near-death. Bahamut seemed to think him an equal, so while Raven hasn't exactly shown off his powers, one does get the impression that's he's up there on the power level.

Chaos hasnt even been seen yet, Darko had to cast magic to bring BM into the "Evildoer's Heaven" of sorts, Dr. Swordopolis can cut through time and space, and Bahamut can effortlessly class change people.

Bahamut doesnt cause earthquakes through physical force (Not on purpose anyway) and Sarda doesnt have strength, he has magic. (Of course, he could always make himself have strength, but that would require him to DO something, and we all know Sarda is a lazy bastard and wouldnt do such a thing unless it was to amuse him.

Thief dies to easily to be number three here. Same with red mage.
And BM. Fighter, I can understand.

Sarda should do what King Steve did to those paintings... only Sarda should do that properly to himself... I'd love to see it now, Sarda's head placed on one of those bodies standing before the light warriors who could just be creaped out at the sight

I'd vote Sarda of the physical list, myself. He's content to do nearly everything with magic, possibly due to a lack of Doga sprites, but also because it's easier to reshape reality on a whim than to move to do things physically.

Plus, Matoya has to be up there to take the earthquake-inducing, uh, er, *ahem*... :sweatdrop
