This is going to be an awesome new species that is a cross between a phoenix and a tarot card. The bird predicts when you're going to die and then dies itself on that date. It's not much of a predictive aid, but at least it lets you know when to send a flowers.

I am hoping for the latter.

Despite BM's limited facial features, he's actually one of the most expressive characters in the whole comic. The eyes-- I love it. XD
