National Novel Writing Month

I am participating in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) this year.

The challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel (about 175 pages) in a month, starting at 12:00 AM November 1 and ending 11:59:59 PM November 30.

Is anyone else participating?

I'm not participating, but good luck, wasoe!

Actually I've had a novel idea floating around for a while, and I was thinking about getting it started.

Sounds like a plan. I'm in. Is there something at stake this year? A prize or something?

I did it last year, but was only able to get 27,000 words. D:
I'm doing it again this year, though.
NOTHING WILL GET IN MY WAY.

Huh. Are you sure it's about 175 pages because I just finished writing a 100-page story(exactly 100 pages) and it was 56,809 words long. I must have had a weird format.

Regardless, I would like to do so, but I just finished the aforementioned story and I'm kind of dry on writing ideas... Still, I'd like to maybe try. I didn't do very well last year.

I'm going to attempt it, if my time allows. Though I seriously doubt that I'll be able to complete a 50,000 word novel.

And good luck.

I might try for this actually.

Ferix Stader 10-26-2007 09:08 AM

I will be trying it too, though being in China will make my schedule just a titch more restrictive. Good luck to all involved! Don't set your hard drives on fire!

I'm doing this.

I recently decided to start reading Warhammer 40,000 novels and was immeasurably disappointed to find that they were merely subpar hackwork instead of the shittacularly horrible monument to crapularity which I expected so don't be surprised at the end of November if you find yourselves looking at a hundred and seventy-three page fanfiction of the universe I think Warhammer 40000 ought to be.

Because I really do hate you that much.
