One Must Fall: Gleaming Menace
 

"Look Zeo we're gonna need more than our little force to take out the Centauri. Tommorow we'll run out a team and retrieve the machine if it's still there. Then we can get to reverse engineering the bitch assuming it's still intact enough. I'm not sure how much use it'll be after the Rex stomped all over it."

"I'm going to catch some rest then get to repairs. I suggest you all do the same. If you need me I'll be in my quarters." He then stalked off down the halls into the barracks. The clinking of his boots echoing off the metal structure.

*bows*
"Agreed commander, I need some rest anyways. Hey anyone care to give me a hand repairing the old arm?"

"I've been crunching our numbers. At the rate we are consuming ammo we will be out in a week." John said. "We need to find either a new ammo supply or find alternate more efficient weapons."

"Either that or we make stronger ammo or try to conserve as much as we can. The latter being impossible, I say we try to look for something stronger to hit them with."

*looking at the damage to his old arm*
"Man might as well make a new one"
*over hearing John*
"Well I don't think we can switch to pure energy. If I had to guess they will most likely through a few of those new mech in any fight. Hey what about a hybrid? You know those energy surrounded shells the RnD guys were working on before the war."

"Lasers in the past have had some effect on the centauri. Particle weapons not so much."

"Not exactly what I ment. When I was still working in the lab my team was working on solid shells that have an energy coating. They were increadibley deadly and shields were all but useless. The project was abandoned because at the time it wasn't needed, also the maintance of operating both systems was massive."

"My way is the best. Teleport to them and shove a bomb in any opening you can find. No armor inside."

"True, but you are the only teleporting one. We need it so that everyone can attack them in one way or another."

"We need to look into alternate weapons. I've had a few of engineers look into making modular rocket launchers. While highly inaccurate they are cheap and easy to make. They can be fielded effectively. Also the rocket launcher can be detached when spent."
