I'd be more ready to get a non-sex model more for companionship. And if there were any need to do some tweaking, well, I'm going into programming, so given a USB port or something, plus consent, I'd be able to make any modifications needed. Because I don't think anyone would be dumb enough to let them modify themselves without a DAMN good failsafe, which would pretty much defeat the point of emotions anyway. They might, however, be allowed to block incoming signals they feel might be harmful, or get the right to review the data before implementation for their own safety. And wireless would be a bad idea.
@ Zilla: I agree that would be a problem. Prostitution is the oldest profession for a reason, and people who end up doing it generally have no other choice.
