Azumanga Daioh
This is an insane little anime I came across, have seen six episodes so far of it, anyways. I was wondering if anyone else has seen it
|
I saw the first one. The pacing felt weird, but I think that was because I read some of the manga and had already fixed an idea of what it should look like, and also because I kept expecting an earlier version of Lucky Star. :<
I should watch more of it, though. One episode isn't nearly enough, and I want to see the episode that was part of a gif, where one of the girls kicks a shoe off her foot and the shoe flies awaaaay, if only because it reminds me of people playing football. |
well its meant to be a show with sever small plots in one episode.
oh and i think that is episode like, five. Its the perfect show for animated GIFs |
The pacing really does feel weird, almost like you can tell they were going for comedic timing but didn't quite get the hang of it. I put it down to cultural differences though, and once you get used to it it works. And there's more than enough incentive to get used to it.

I saw one or two episodes, I think.
Seemed pretty funny. |
Love this anime so much. It's got a lota WTF? factor (thanks to Osaka and that weird-ass cat thingy) and I love how almost everybody including the teacher physically abuses that genius elementary school girl... what was her name... Chiyo!
|
Oh yeah, I remember the English teacher. I like her.
|
I like how Chiyo's hair is detachable. And is synchronized. And is detachable. Did I say that one already? Well, at least I'm not a witch.

This is the only anime I own, and one of the very, very few that I actually like.
Normally all those weird anime things like super-deforming, chibis, sweat-drops, etc really put me off. I don't like them, especially in a show that I'm supposed to take seriously. Here, I don't mind them. *shrug* It's a mystery even to me. |
