How do I use this Thing!?

Can someone help me? On this starting a new thread thing, how do I change fonts and bold and stuff like that. It just puts the letter B or I in front of what i'm typing. Sorry for bein a complete noob, but if someone could be kind enuff to explain, I would greatly appreciate it. How how do I navigate, this place?

I'd say a good place to start are the rules section, there are all kinds of helpful hints up in there.

including scripting.

if you wanna though, make your posts in advanced mode.

on the bottom where it says to post reply and go advanced, click go advanced.

and you should maybe change that avatar, just some friendly advice. We are kind of a PG-13 forum here.

Frig, I got ninja'd.

If you look at a post you've made, you'll see the edit button. Clicking that, you can edit the thing's contents. Another button "advanced" becomes available then, if it doesn't anywhere else. the little b's mean bold, and they surround the text to be made bold. b is where the bold starts, and /b is where it ends. Just make sure the b and /b are in the little [] brackets, or they don't work.

User CP, in the upper left corner, is sort of like your account base. You can edit profile options from there, as well as monitor any threads you've posted in for new posts. As a side note, double posting is usually frowned upon here. Just use the edit function to fix the old post instead of posting again to correct yourself. :D

You REALLY need change your avatar, as explicit stuff is not generally allowed on here without a nsfw (not safe for work) warning on it.

Sorry about the pic everyone! Also thanx so much for the info! One more thing, How do you get those kool quotes on the bottom of you thread "if im using the term correctly" and in color?

Are you talking about a signature? You go into the UCP and select "Edit Signature" from the menu on the left.

EDIT: Also, that is hella hard to read, I honestly don't mind if you have a custom font, but I would (unofficially!) suggest that you use something a bit more... legible.

Honestly I don't believe so. Thanks for checking. Just use something not involving half-naked ladies. I don't think a work place would appreciate people looking at that picture at work, so there's your guideline.
