only the outside layer is made of lethality stones, since they are on the side with non-spirit energy abosobing properties, they can. The illusion is just that, an illusion. More importantly the point of the illusion is to cover up the openings, ie the parts that dont currently have stones there. Guys honestly this isn't that hard, it is a simple puzzle. Worse thing that happens is you get your timing wrong and are crushed by the stones as the opening shuts.

ok I admit that is pretty bad, but thats what flash step is for

I imagine my guy would be out of the loop on this whole "randomly opening holes of random sizes" thing, since no one has said anything about it in character. I almost had him suggest explosives to test the enemy's strength. Those that survive are strong enough to fight, and those that don't weren't worth the effort to begin with. XD

Pink Bunny 11-07-2007 04:39 PM

It was said in character, your guy just may not have been paying attention. o_O

Angry Arannacar lady was talking about it.

Elminster_Amaur 11-07-2007 04:57 PM

I'm pretty sure he was nowhere near there when she said that.

11th was standing over Arjen as your character was healing him. And that happened after the Arrancar spoke to Arthuros. So, unless the ever-talkative Arhturos or Fuga has told the rest of us what happened, since the rest of us were at the site of the battle with the Arrancar, we shouldn't know.

Especially not my character who has heard, at most, the part about having to know when a hole will appear. I'm pretty sure a 5 int is not going to grant him any great insight into what on earth that means.

Edit: And unless Arjen and the rest of the group have instant teleportation or long-distance hearing, I see a GIGANTIC plot hole on the last page of the previous RP thread. Especially Arjen, who was previously lying on the ground being healed, and suddenly he's at the base of the tower, which, if I recall, was "in the distance" when we began fighting the hollow.

Pink Bunny 11-07-2007 05:12 PM

That is admittedly a loophole, but it isn't game shattering since it isn't a combat detail. Since the RPing style is big posts instead of quick-fired replies you can't really pay as much attention to detail on distance when it isn't as important, otherwise the RP drags on forever on the most miniscule of things.

Elminster_Amaur 11-07-2007 05:40 PM

But...causality...did we enter a timelike curve or something? XD

I'll keep my character's knowledge of the tower as it currently is, whether or not there is a plot hole. I mean, he's got 5, so he's probably a brick compared to everyone else.

I just like to keep out of character knowledge away from characters, except for comedic purposes or in a RP that is a comedy.

Mind if I ask for a quick restate of the plan Pink?

I think I understand the gist of it, but I'd rather be sure I know it.

Pink Bunny 11-07-2007 07:11 PM

Sure.

Essentially she believes that there's some form of Kido user out there manipulating the Holes and is watching them. Her theory is, if one of them (or all of them) were to enter a single hole, it would collapse and crush them.

So the plan she proposes is, when there are multiple holes discovered at one specific point of time, she wants multiple people to enter seperate ones at the same time, preferably with one person stepping forward first so that hole tries to close first to confirm her theory.

She thinks that, if one hole collapses because of actual thought/the Aranaccar the woman mentioned makes it, he won't be able to close the other holes fast enough to kill the others going in.

If this plan fails and the hole starts to collapse while in it, she then wants you to flash step to avoid being squished. This means when they do it by the one by one basis, Aencieth needs to be with someone who can flash-step him through if he happens to be unlucky.

Teal Mage 11-07-2007 08:05 PM

Well, even though I have only the previous actions of the Arrancar in mind when I say this, it strikes me that they want us to reach the inside of the tower. If they didn't we'd all be dead by now.

But then again, relying on the good will of Arrancars might not be too smart. :shifty:

Couldnt Ancieth create like a tube out of his shield, to shape a tunnel that we could pass by ?

I know that the wall "eats" spiritual energy... but cant his shield hold it for a couple of seconds? That's all that woudl take for all of us to pass
