The lotto rapist.

The lotto rapist case.

Apparently, some convicted sex offender won £7,000,000 in a British lottery.

READ first, then give your opinion.

EDIT: New and improved, the link is now fixed!
I fixed the fucker.

How about a not broken link first off? I'm a helper!

...what's to discuss here? Serial Rapist, life sentence, got let out on probation, won 7 mil. Okay, weirder shit has happened.

Take the fucker off of controlled income now, he's got enough money to support himself.

bananarama 11-05-2007 09:55 PM

Wow he was multiple sex offender and he last attempted rape on a 59-year-old and he was jailed for life? I wish the justice system was as well-run in some states here in America... Seriously in some states, multiple offense child rapists get out in a few years or worse months.... But that's not the issue here.

What's there to say? This guy is lucky bastard

Corn 11-05-2007 09:57 PM

Meh I fucked up the link...thank 'ees.

I think the 'protection' he's receiving is more to protect everyone else than him. I mean, how's he gonna rape someone else when there are cops visiting him constantly?

Instead of taking him off the protection scheme (which would allow him to run free and do whatever he pleases, like rape some more people) just take his money to pay for it.

you know its not technically a "life-sentence" if they let you out

Who "deserves" money they win in the lottery? All you do is hand in a little paper slip and hope you're lucky. If you wanted to apply rules for who does and doesn't deserve it you'd have to ban those who don't from participating in the first place.

No. Fuck this line of thinking. The man did his time and according to the prison system, he has already paid his debt to society. Though I don't necessarily agree with the concept of a government-run lottery, I certainly don't think a "rapist tax" should be levied against this guy because he got lucky.

No, because life sentences end if you make a new life for yourself. :p

The alternative is life without parole.
