Castlevania: Making a sequel
 

Some of you may remember a member named Jared Todd, who used to be on the forums. Even though his account is long gone, he is still active on the internet, and conversing with a few forumites.

His current project is a slightly bizarre, yet ambitious, sequel to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. It is named Castle Edea Shadow of the Eclipse. Because Aria of Shadow already has a sequel, this needs to be called an alternate sequel.

While most of the content of the game has been planned out by Jared, as well as outlined here. The premise of the game is slightly odd, but the game promises to be quite good, assuming it is finished.

Currently we are understaffed, being in need of programmers, spriters, music remixers, and other assorted people. Because of this, the game's progress has slowed down almost to a halt.

Still, the purpose of this thread is to drum up a bit of interest in the game. I'm also hoping that some of you talented people might be willing to lend a hand with the games making (or convince people to lend a hand).

Also, some minor Editing of images and Writing (Dialogue?)

And ofcourse, if you need ideas for Itens, Weapons, Objects, Map Areas and such...

If you need any help designing concepts for bosses and enemies, or weapons or whatever, I could help. I'd also be willing to work on any dialogue or such.

I can't do any programming, or spriting, though. I mean, I could, technically, but it would suck.

Ive known about this for a while. I tried to get in and help, but due to my utter hatred of coding, theres little I can do. I am told I am a Garage Band Genius though, so I can do audio shit.

You could have just checked the admin controls.

It's not actually a sequel to Aria of Sorrow, it's a sequel to both the Sorrow games. Read the timeline if you're unsure.

I'd be happy to have your help if you want to join in. Just add jared_todd(at)hotmail(dot)com as a messenger buddy. I can talk to pretty much any messenger user on my MSN. You can also PM either me, or SecretSkull. SecretSkull will probably get to his PMs faster, though.

Just so everyone knows, we need several programmers, and several spriters. So if someone can program, then they should program.

and by the way, the game will be easier to program if there's a CastleEdea maker first. Once the maker is programmed, more than the programmers can design things, and the spriters can put their sprites into the level. If you're interested, I'll gladly give more details on messenger or PM.
