It is coming...

In a few short months, a very important event will begin. How are you planning on celebrating this, the most important event of the decade?

Share your thoughts.

I have absolutely no intention of celebrating this, I will continue with my life exactly as I have before, I might eat less potatoes so I can prove that I don't need their "staple foods".

Viva' Las PatataS!

Oh complex starches, how I love thee.

Bah, We lived of the potato back in the day! A potatoes and milk is all you need to survive. We learned that through having nothing else to eat (an effective method) Sure thetre were blights, but simply not eating was out of the question. It saved many a lives back in the day.

A year in its honour is less than it deserves!

Mass Irish immigration to America was caused by a potato blight. It really raises the question of how stupid it is to put near-total focus on one product or service. Like with BM destroying the community center in Onrac.

Like, seriously. A famine and economic collapse should NEVER be caused by the loss of one product. Diversity is healthier and allows the table to "stand on three legs," as it were.

Potatoes are the number 1 piece of evidence to show that we have a kind and loving god! Woooo potatoes!!!

Potato bread, mashed potatoes, scallopped potatoes, baked potatoes, french-fried potatoes, Au Graten potatoes, Potato chips, Sweet Potato Pie, Stewed potatoes, Potatoe skins....

And let's not forget non-food uses for potatoes, IE ammo for a potato gun.

Don't forget the spud cannon.

You can build one out of old couch springs and cardboard.

Also, french fries. That pretty much says all you need to know about potatos. Now excuse me while I drool.

And what's this year you might ask?
