Tim Kring is my Hero: Heroes Thread part Whatevva (Spoilers!)

Thank you for admitting how much your show sucks, Mister Kring. That must have took a lot to say.

All is forgiven; now don't pull this shit ever again.

PS: Dumping stupid Irish lady in an alternate future and replacing her with a flirty blonde psychopath was possibly the single best decision you ever made. Well done sir, well done.

I never saw one minute of season two but I did just finish season one and what he describes really doesn't sound like it would fit at all. Mainly in that it features premises not taken verbatim from either X-Men or Watchmen.

Or wait, didn't Wolverine receive Samurai training and tragically fall in love with a woman etc.? Shit.

Make no mistake, this is just a tap-dance. He seems to think that television is a popularity contest (not ratings wise but rather High School). For one, he says that Heroes is a fan-driven show - which is a very bad thing - while at the same time contradicting himself by saying that the fans should not be thinking while watching.

Why is nobody mentioning that Kring is doing PR for his show while there is a strike going on?

Elle is awesome. Yay for lightning bolt bitch. Question is- is she insane? Or is she merely fucked up from childhood on from bob?

Well, the point of Adam in my opinion is that so much happening over a brief period of time (gone from being shiftless mercenary to noble hero to feeling betrayed and manipulated) has changed him towards the latter. He's very convincing, he's actually worse than Elle- look how he manipulates Peter from in his cell. He's had a long time to think things through and learn new skills (not powers), but the years are starting to wear on him. There's a little bit of insanity there. Also, remember he's well versed in religious concepts- Adam was the first man.

Now we know why Niki is so melancholic. It's her fault DL died. Also, how petty was that guy? "Oh, I was banging your wife and you took her from me so you must DIE!!!!eleventyone!" But, yeah.

Bob's... Well, we were led to believe he was a good guy but he's definitely morally questionable. A foil to Adam? Or is he Adam's second disciple? In fact, wasn't it Bob who called Maury Adam's disciple? The whole religious term thing is quite interesting.

Angela is really a horrible person and I want to see Adam take care of her properly.

Maury's still coma-y. Or will be coma-y.

No Matt or Mohinder, but what makes me saddest is no Molly. Such a cute kid.

Although the Hiro plot was too long, I quite liked it. It set up Adam well and fleshed out Hiro as the universe's butt monkey.

Yay for Kickass Peter! Huzzah.

Well, Kring is with the rest of the writers, and he refuses to cross the picket line.

And I don't see why being a fan driven show is a bad thing. It means they actually listen to the fans to gauge thier impact and help plot the future direction. That'll help prevent it from becoming like the last two seasons of the X-Files, or something.

And it's good to see he's come to his senses, and is listening to the fans distaste now. Here's to a fast paced, awesome Volume 3!

I don't get why they would put Peter near Adam if he was such a dangerous guy due to his way to manipulate people.

Edit - And didn't one of the comics explain DL's death by not surviving Linderman's shot?

The most I can find is Niki and Micah talking about D.L. being in the hospital in The Death Of Hana Gitelman Part 2.

Was anyone else sick of seeing X months ago by the end of this episode? I mean, we get it. This episode started four months ago and time progresses to the present day.

Aside from that, I thought it was really poorly written for such a key episode.

I would have liked it if some of the other character's past four months had been explained a bit more. Just a little snippet about how Matt and Mohinder get custody over Molly. However I'm glad that Sylar's escape from Kirby Plaza is still somewhat of a mystery, I liked him a lot more when he was an enigma villain who turned up everywhere and you no one really knew the extent of his powers.
The Wondertwins get even worse as now we see that Alejandro is also the stupidest one of the two, for not noticing your new wife is getting busy in the old barn.
Still the advert for next weeks ep says there's only 3 episodes left to wrap up the current virus story line, so hopefully it will pick up in action now and season 3 will give us that "clean slate".

Well, the time cards were kinda needed, to show they were jumping ahead a month, and not just a day. The flow of time would have been a lot more confusing without them.

Sylar's escape really isn't a mystery. They pretty much came right out and said in the third episode of the season that Candice used her illusion power to get Sylar out of there without notice.
