Ok, I was mistaken. But I have fought him. I do remember either being heavily damaged or running.


EDIT: Ok, it's the next day, and I beat Chaos!!! The TOF was really easy, and chaos did hardly any damage! I gave the masamune to my knight and cast fast on him so he did around 250 damage. My BB did help, but not as much as the knight (your sorta right martyr). The Wm also helped with fade, and BM's nuke was effective too. I told you I'd do it.

Again, you're probably thinking about Iron Gollums. They're grey and cast slow, right?
No, I mean steel ones. They're torquise, like the T-Rex. Must be something wierd about the color, or something. Anyway, I've only seen one once. And, like the Rex, it came alone. You usualy get 3-4 Iron or Mud gollums at one time.

BTW - Yeah, they aren't amazingly hard, but I think the reward for killing them is magnificent, but they aren't dramatically easy. The T-Rex is about twice as powerful as a Tyro. But Tyro isn't too powerful in the first place, so it's all relative.

Anyway, you'll know the difference when you see a steel gollum instead of a iron gollum. You'll know.

Stabbity - Do it again. Sometimes you get lucky through the ToF. Did you run into 4 Gas Dragons? Did Lich Nuke you? Did Kraken hit your WW for 512 damage? Maybe you haven't fully experienced the true horrors that exist in that place.

But good job. I hope you liked it and will go on to play with harder or more intense parties than the classical F,?,WM,BM party.

Lich did nuke me, no gas dragons, kraken only hit for about 300 on my master, and chaos never used cure 4. So ya, I was lucky.

you're right I was thinking of Iron Gollums, never even heard of a steel one before, I think some adventuring is in order!

I don't find Gas Dragons extremely hard, but then again I'm usually at a level that's so high they run away from me anyway! :D

Chaos isn't really all that hard is he... I mean he is just a less whimpy version of Garland!

Wait, it's the rock and mud gollums that are so easy to find. We're thinking of rock gollums, the grey ones. You've seen a mud gollum if you've gotten the Zeus gauntlets, of course.

The one I've never seen but once is called an "Iron Gollum." There ain't a "Steel" one. I wonder why I got that confused.

So, yeah, quest away. I can only tell you for sure that I've seen one in Tiamats level of ToF/Specifically in the Masmune room, but that single square can't be the only place its found.

Fade... use lots of Fade. except one, us one WW to use Cure 4 when you fight him.
