Set in stone usually means only one character is important for the story, and the PC have no control over story at all... Which tends to lead to death of RP.

Weapon and Equipment: The only weapon he ever needs is his fist. Wears a light robe so as not to limit his movement, as well as a rope and grappling hook. When questioned about it, he always replies "you never know when you might need it."
Appearance: In his natural form, scraggly, just-rolled-out-of-bed hair. Blue-green eyes that stay regardless of form, and one of those faces that you cant place, but never forget, that seem almost other-worldy.
Summon: The Great Gilgamesh. Appears as a masked warrior with four arms. Carries with him the awesome Zantesuken.
Bio: Grew up fairly normal for a farming town till about the age 5. Then, a terrific plauge struck the town, where few survived at all. Andy was hungry for many days until he finally figured out how to kill his own food and eat it. Around 7 a traveller discovered the young shifter, and astounded by his ability to survive on his own decided to teach him everything he knew about the sacred art combat. Not only just battle, the teacher also instilled into the youth many morals such as a sense of duty and honor, and not to prey on the weak and the helpless, but to defend them against evil-doers. Even when his teacher passed away, his teachings were never forgotten by Andy as he grew into the man that he is today.

Edit: I mustve opened this page last night or something and was typing up my character and forgot to post it because i missed like half the posts on here, for I was under the impression that the shifter could have a class in addition to his shifting capabilites.

Appearance: Friendly eyes, and a winning smile are the two most noticeable features of Malcolm Draven. His nimble frame, 5’7 height, and tight wiry muscles make him the perfect size and body type to ride Chocobos without tiring them out as fast as a heavier rider. Short chestnut hair, thoughtful hazel eyes, and a thin, well managed goatee add to his slightly regal appearance. He’s not of a better blood line, just of a better attitude than most.
Summon: A Yellow Chocobo clad in ornate Mithril battle armor.
Bio: A young squire who was a the top of his classes who was cut a lucky break when he was chosen to apprentice under the best Chocobo Knight in the kingdom. Everything else, as they say, is minor details. The past may be prologue, but it is hardly ever interesting or pertinent.

And please, just trust me on this. I've spent awhile thinking this over, and it works, so just go with me. Plus, did the other FF even HAVE summons?

If by other FF you mean the other FF RP, then yes it did. It worked like the summoner class in FF games (Only one to ever be mentioned though was a NPC)

I gave my guy a name if you have to know(which I doubt you do), so continue on with your debate with IHMN while I just sit back and wait.

Well, in FFX RP they were obviously used, and like IHMN said, they were used in the old FF RP too, but only by NPCs there sisnce no one called Summoner (Well, Zepyr did that one semi-summon and summoned all the chochobos, but I don't know if that counted...)

However, Summons were used back in the Tournaments to great effect by Raiden and Me, so summons have been used on this board before effectivly...

Look, I just don't want to create a FF 8 situation where half the time is spent fighting and the other half is spent summoning. If someone wants to be the summoner, then just PM me and I'll send you all the nitty gritty details, but it will ruin most of the story.

Just know that the summoner can only summon based on whos around her/him, which is why I asked you all to choose your own 'signature' one.

I don't think anyone (Anyone being me and Forever) wants to be a summoner, but are just curious as to why our characters have a summon but don't summon then (Meaning milk as much info out of you)
