[IDEA] Writing Styles
It's a simple word game that i think the "creativy" minds here would enjoy.
You may have seen it on Whose Line Is It Anyway, and it's pretty much that... It's a Story-game. Each player plays himself. There is no end in sight, the sotry just develops and scalates. You can interact with anybody who has posted, but you can only act as yourself. Here is the catch, once the Game begins, the first person to post will let a "Style" for you at the end of their post. The next person who posts will take the story from there, playing itself and dealign with the story and writing USING said style. For instance: The game begins: Player 1 Creates a story and posts in the end "NEXT Style: Western Movie" The next player must Write and make the story go on from an Western Movie point of view and Writing style. Then, he ends and says "NEXT Style: Captain Kirk" the next player must take the story from where is stopped and go on with it, posting with this style in mind and so on and so on It's also fun to try and screw with the next player by leaving weird styles like "Flashdance" , "Monster Movie", "Commercial" and so forth |
Sounds interesting.
I'd like it. |
I'm a fan of this idea and think it should be explored further.

This sounds awesome, though shouldn't it be under roleplaying?
|
I'd be in to that...but Masked Jedi has a point...I guess it's not roleplaying if we're ourselves though...but who better to role play ourselves than ourselves? Brilliant!
|
I like the idea. I don't know if I'd be able to do well in it, but who knows. At the least it'll be interesting to read.
|
The idea sounds nice and it'd be fun to play, but when I write I don't know when to stop, which is to say, if someone ninjaed me with a single sentence I'd kill them. I'd find where they live, and kill them.
|
What you could do is make a short post saying you're typing something so you don't get ninja'd, and then edit it with what you want to write.
|
It's called "reserve post" and i approve it ^^
Also, i dont think is a "Role play game"... its a forum game with roleplay elements , yes, but there is zero pressure. You can interact with people or you can create a completly new direction to the story. the whole point is to create a long solid story that is fun to write and fun to ready can i have a MOD seal of Approval? =3 |
