IDEA [1000 Posts On Topic]

I would like to challenge the entiredy of the 8-Bit forums to try and push a forum to 1000 posts and remain on topic the entire time.

I understand that many of you will believe this to be impossible, crazy even, but I have faith in you all. This can be done.

Rules will be debated, help would be appreciated on coming up with guidelines.

This is the idea, post yours here as well, sign-up sheet will appear if interest appears and if the mods grant me their digital blessing.

This is my first stab at a forum game, so wish me luck.

Would this do?

It has the moderator stamp of approval that we were on topic and everything, too.

I'm assuming theres one traitor that has to themself stay on topic but wins when they get other players to go off topic.

I'm sure that there will be more than one of these, and they will be largely self-appointed. That or it's like king of the hill, ie everyone tries to get others off topic.

Blast.

Ah well I will consider making this a little more spicy, more to come.

Keep posting please.

You know what we could do? We could make THIS the game. You know, talking about how to make the game of being on topic staying on topic of how we could keep talking about making such a game for 1000 posts without getting off topic.

That reminds me of this time I was playing D&D and another discussion came up about some video games and we were off topic for over an hour during the session. So who here likes D&D? :p

Damnit Moogle. I was gonna say that. Then you said it. Damn that funny pink sign for distracting me for 20 minutes.

If it helps I was going to say that too but I am scared of Fenny so I try to dash in and out of here. He can climb trees you know.

Frostatine 12-07-2007 09:03 PM

That's kind of irrelevant if you yourself can't even climb a tree, but I digress (yeah, new rule I made up, it's not getting of topic if you say 'I digress' immediately afterward) I don't think that dedicating a thousand posts towards coming up with the rules for the game we are playing to create the rules for the game we are playing to create the rules for the game is going to help the space time continuum, and we're already on bad terms.

I think 1000 posts in the name of inventing the PERFECT forum game would be a better idea. Anyone agree/disagree?

That rule is stupid and you're stupid for coming up with it.

I mean go for it, see if you can make a thread that goes 1000 posts on topic. If it fails I close it and you lose. If you win, then you might get something if I feel like it.
