Anime Transformations

People in anime tend to transform. Even if they don't transform, they, for reasons that cannot be fully understand, might have a transformation sequence. The question is, how would these appear if you were standing there on the street?

Anime Girl: Prepare to face my true power!
Anime girls begins to float naked in midair while new clothes start to appear on her body.
Anime Villain 1: Um… what’s she doing?
Anime Villain 2: Uh… I have no idea…. I think she’s attacking us…
Anime Villain 1: Well it’s taking too long. I’m gonna go get some coffee, you wanna come?
Anime Villain 2: No, thanks. I wanna see how this works out.
Anime Villain 1: Ok, see you later!
Anime Villain 1 walks away into a coffee shop across the street.
Anime Villain 2: Hm… I wonder if I should block or something…
Anime Girl stops spinning and sets back down on the ground wearing slightly different clothes than she had on originally, including a nifty looking crown.
Anime Girl: Now I shall thwart thee, evil villain!
Anime Villain 2: Wait… that was it? What the hell WAS that?
Anime Girl: I was… transforming…
Anime Villain 2: What? No, that is just pathetic. That was so not a transformation!
Anime Girl: Yes it was! This is my superhero form!
Anime Villain 2: No, see… “transform” is a word comprised of two Greek roots. The first, “trans”, means change, alteration, or difference, and the second “form” refers to shape or structure. You have not changed, altered, or made different your shape or structure, therefore, you did not transform at all.
Anime Girl: Yes I did! And now I’ll thwart you with my powers!
Anime Villain 2: What are you gonna do, whore yourself at me? You look like a slut in those things.
Anime Girl: I DO NOT!
Anime Villain 2: Yeah, you do. In fact I can see from here you don’t have on any panties. What the hell kind of superhero in a schoolgirl costume doesn’t wear panties?
Anime Girl (Blushing): I… didn’t have them on when I started…
Anime Villain 2: Oh, great, you don’t only look like a slut you are one too.
Anime Girl: I’M NOT A SLUT YOU PRICK!
Anime Villain 2: Just 30 seconds ago you were spinning in the air, flashing your tits to the world. You’re a slut, face it.
Anime Girl: SHUT THE HELL UP!
Anime Villain 2: In fact, you know what? I refuse to be thwarted by a whore. I’m gonna go drink some coffee till you come up with a better method of attacking your enemies.
Anime Villain 2 leaves for the coffee shop.

Anime Pervert with Camera: Heh heh… I saw your BOOBIES!
Anime Girl: Oh shut the fuck up.

Mike stumbled across the RE: Cutie Honey opening on youtube one weekend, and I thought, "Hey, this might be a cute show. I mean, 'cute' is in the name. It'll be a nice break from Higurashi, anyway."

Then I watched it.

Dude, it's from GAINAX. I think it was to be expected.

No. No no no no no. I'd say, "Watch it. You'll know what I mean," but I think recommending that you watch it would be breaking the NSFW rules.

To be more blunt, there are boobs. There is full nudity. There is full-body contact in conjunction with full body nudity. Nudity is not limited to transformation scenes. Any time where someone's boobs aren't on display is an aberration.

Still a cute show, though. It's pretty funny, too. I just can't recommend anyone see it because it's basically porn. Hence, "damn anime."

yea but comments like that just drive a persons curiousity. You say "its something you have to watch to understand, but you should never ever see it" to which our responce is "awwww now I gotta watch it"

You can tell him to watch pretty much whatever you like as long as you're not posting pictures of or linking to it or describing it at length in extremely graphic detail or telling him about sites where he can find it that also provide a lifetime's supply of girls with wing-wongs.

Cutey Honey reminded me of nothing so much as that scene in half-baked where Dave Chappelle is like "Heyo, it's a titty" and then everyone stops and goes like "Yep, that sure is a titty."

As I said, GAINAX, the one company who coined the term fanservice and who introduced the concept of jiggly boobies to the anime industry.

the scary thing, is there appears to be a live action version of this thing. I cant say if it really is for obvious reasons, just saying

phil_ 12-03-2007 08:20 PM

Yeah, the OVAs were made because of the movie. There's also a Speed Racer-looking original series, and a sequel series to that was made in the 90s. I kinda considered trying to find the original series, as it might not be so counter to my Western sensibilities, but I just don't feel like going through the effort.

Also, those vague comments were me trying to wriggle out of talking about this show. I'm embarrassed that I watched it. I'm more embarrassed that I enjoyed it. I'm not sure how so much stupidity bunched together in my head at once to make me mention it at all. Oh well, at least it gave this thread some direction.

It's true, but, do you want to know what's the worst part of it? It's directed by Hideaki Anno, the man behind Evangelion.

Yeah, you thought I couldn't bring something worse, didn't you? Huh? Huh!? Try to get your minds around that one.
