I had gone over the occupation ones once, and it took a hell of a lot of editing to get it right, I didn't wanna take the chance again.

I narrowed down the ones that I think would be okay for women, do these all seem alright for choices?

Antiquarian, Artist, Author, Dilettante, Entertainer, Journalist, and a Musician.
(that really narrows it down... sucks to be me! ^^; )
Do these seem acceptable, or did I miss any?

I'll join...

I just have to work out the mind-boggling sign-up first.

Sithdarth 03-15-2004 10:24 PM

Zero closed the sign up but if you can convince him to let you in then your in, i think it might be a good ideal because i think there is 13 people signed up, im not supersticous but its better not to poke the sleeping bear that is fate.

These words ripped straight form the book.

Antiquarian - "Occasionally female, but usually to obssesive and voyeuristic to be of that sex."

Artist - "This occupation is equally available to males and females."

Author - "May be male or female."

Dilettante - "Can be male or female"

Entertainer - "May be male or female."

Journalist - "Nearly always male in earlier eras, interchangably male or female by the 1990's"

Muscian - Um, isn't in the book, but I say it would be fine.

And actually, as I'm reading through, for most of them it says there could/would be a very small number of women in those fields like Doctor of Medacine and Proffesor, but know before hand if you chose another profession, others might treat you oddly since it is almost unheard of for women to be in those fields.

EDIT: I okayed SS to join in. 14 is way more then I expected, so that is it.

So, by chance (because i am lazy beyond all belief) do we have a lawyer in here yet?

Forever Zero 03-15-2004 10:37 PM

Your walking a dangerous line squeezing into a full RP and asking questions you can look up... Luckily, I'm feeling generous and can say no, we don't have any lawyers yet.

OOC: Oh yeah, and due to fucked up events in my life, this is being moved to next Monday instead of this Friday, and all RPing I may do, in this RP or others, will most likely come to a stop on weekends just as a warning.

Speakeasys were quite common in the 'Roaring Twenties.' They were like nightclubs, I believe.

Maybe you could be a lounge singer, Celes. That could be interesting.

To bad this is set in the 1920's so I can't make any 'Entertainer' jokes...

Edit - We already have an author by the way.
