krylo: Well, first off, even though the Elder Gods ARE friendly, and actually summoning them doesn't even cost us Sanity (Casting the spell yes, seeing them no since they are very humanoid and fairly kind), they are also totally wusses in comparison to the evil gods. And while there is a list of some 20+ evil gods composing the Outer Gods and the Great Old Ones, there are 3 Elder Gods... In fact, the Elder Gods are such wusses, we could probably 'kill' them if we were evil and wanted too...And there was artillery during WWI...

Lazy Man: Any specific stats, or just all of them? I thought I had simplified the basic stats pretty well...

EDIT: Also on a wierd side note, I found a CoC add-on pack that allows for Resident Evil games using CoC rules... I think I have an idea for my next RP...

lazy man 03-16-2004 05:48 PM

Just strength and things like that. I can do the rest.

And if I'm getting annoying, I'm real sorry.

Forever Zero 03-16-2004 05:55 PM

YOU ANNOY ME, AND THUS I SMITE THEE!

Sorry, had to get it out of my system, this has not been a good week so far, and it's only going to get worse. Anyway...

STR - Physical stuff like lifting and using melee weapons. Also effects HP.

CON - Endurance, effects HP, and how well you resist certain types of damage.

SIZ - How big or small you are. Bigger is better for fighting and gives more HP, smaller is better for hiding and escaping.

INT - How well you are able to reason and think, but not knowledge. Effects Personal Skills.

DEX - How nimble you are. Useful for picking locks, grabbing ledges while falling, dodging, or doing anything requireing fine manipulation with your hands.

POW - You willpower and mental strength. Effects your resistance to magic, how well you use magic, your resistance to Sanity Checks, your total number of Sanity points.

APP - How you look, nothing more. Effects first reactions of people when they see you.

EDU - How well educated you are. Years of schooling, and random knowledge. Also effects your Occupation Points.

Does that do it?

I'M REALLY SORRY!!

Well I guess it does. Meh, I'll just roll some random die and see what happens.

And once again for being alittle too annoying with my undeniable stupidity:

I'M REALLY SORRY!

Forever Zero 03-16-2004 06:01 PM

ACK!

Before you start die rolling, you do know you have 80 points to spread among these skill, right?

And no need to apoligize, I was kidding around...

lazy man 03-16-2004 06:04 PM

Damn combination of gullability and stupidity.....

Anyway, I didn't know that and it was helpful.....stupid brain capacity

Forever Zero 03-16-2004 06:06 PM

*Cough* No prob... Any more questions just ask...

TheSpiritOfVengance 03-16-2004 06:13 PM

Actually it wsa a long time ago (3 years to be exact) when our Call group was able to Banish old Cthuey My guy was the only one that lived. My blind smartass monk... Of course he was one sainity point away from Michal Jackson but then again the only reason I lived was because of my lucky dice... Which I wontbe able to use here dammnit...

Forever Zero 03-16-2004 06:18 PM

Muahaha, I control your fate peon, bow down to the mighty GM!

Don't worry, the dice generator I have now seems to be reasonaly fair, although I wonder at it's rolls sometimes since my D100 rolls (Essential for Coc...) almost always come out in the 40-60 range...

And how did your group beat the Big C? He's neigh invulnerable and has 160 HP (Yes, chew on that piece of info, most of you have from 6-8, and Cthulhu has 160....). I assume magic, since I haven't gone through the whole grimore yet and have been focusing on parts relevant to starting the RP.

EDIT - I found the example characters... And you guys are weak even by their standard, most of the example investigators have at least 10 HP... I may have to make you all redo everything and add about 5-10 stat points... Any opinions?
