Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie
No, I'm not talking about TMNT, which is a fairly decent CGI reimagining of the teenage mutant ninja turtles...
I am talking about 1980s live action butt-kicking turtles. You saw it, you loved it, you watched splinter kick the asses of your four favorite characters all at once. That movie kicked ASS |
Yes it did. Easily one of the best comic book/toy/cartoon movies out there in history.
It could have come off as complete cheese but it was fun, had heart, and was emotional to the core. I never would have thought that I could have been so sad for a foursome of turtles about a giant rat, but god damn it hit a chord with me. |
Not only it is one of the best comic book/toy/cartoon movies out there in history, but it is also one of the most realistic martial arts movies ever. The story was the highlight, of course, but the kicking ass was what drew us to watch it.

I ended up catching this movie again on TV about 3 months ago and it was still very awesome to watch. Man why can't they make more of this instead of CGI and time-traveling turtles crap? Although it's been years since I've seen the 2nd or 3rd ones I remember them not being as good as the first.

Watching guys in suits like that do backflips and sweeping kicks and everything else... seriously... those guys had to have been insanely fit

Well, okay, the third movie sucked balls, but the fourth game was fucking awesome and if you had some sense of decency you would go out and play it you motherfucker. |

But the third movie does indeed suck. |
The best is TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze. Why? Vanilla Ice.
|
The problem I had with the first movie is the focus on Raph it had. He was the badass turtle, so they had to focus on him. Like how X-Men had to focus on Wolverine.

Ooze powered Shredder always reminds me of Giga Bowser. I mean think about it, grows larger and more evil, more spikes, that is so mutagen
