I am going to apologize in advance for anyone who really likes the game Chrono Cross... but WHAT THE F%@*!

I spent 45 hours beating the game, only to be left with a suck-ass ending

Did I not do something in the final battle? or did they just leave me in misery thinking about the unknown?

I waited the whole damn game to see him break up with Leena (the really demanding snobby one) and I didn't even get that :(

What was worse was when only 15 minutes before the game ended you learn that Lynx is really a tormented Wazuki?
C'mon, you need to tell people who Serge's dad is before the last minutes

I hope that I did something wrong so I can not be so dissapointed, then I could go replay the ending and be happy

Until then... I want 45 hours of my life back!

Oh.... before I end the thread... don't yell at me quite yet.. The game did have several good points, but I am deeply dissapointed with the ending :bmage:

But yea, i was rather disappointed with the ending, but i haven't replayed it recently to recall what exactly i didn't like. I'm thinking i'll get to it sometime in the future

There's a certain sequance you use certain color spells to get the good ending. If you can call it that... This game was a disappointment, I think a lot of people felt that way. Too many characters, too little about them personally. I can't remember a face to stand out among them, and there were lots of those!

Anyway, you get a different ending on how you use spells in the right order and such.

there was ALOT of stuff i didnt quite get in Chrono Cross. like, how everything you did in the previous game meant jack-squat because of the time-crash. and what exactly the Frozen Flame was in relation to Lavos and Harley. and the whole "Lynx is Serge's dad" was terribly written out, it shouldn't even have been in there in the first place.

so, yeah, not quite the tight storytelling you get from Chrono Trigger.

Well the frozen flame was produced when Lavos came crashing into the earth. During the big storm, when FATE was shut down, the dragons were temporarily freed. They created a 7th dragon, Harle, to go and free the dragons from FATE's control, since FATE didnt know of Harle's existence.

I do have a mixed feelings about the whole Wazuki=serge's dad. The flashes of the panther was well done throughout the game, but then at the end the they (the chrono cross team) couldve put it together better and gave it the same level of storytelling the rest of the game had.

Err, I don't know why so many people didn't understand Chrono Cross. Lynx = Wazuki was easily explained. So was the frozen flame. I have no clue what you mean by "jack-squat" since the previous game was important in the story, even if you would like to believe because Chrono wasn't in it that it wasn't.

It's not so much that it wasnt easily explained, its that it was stated so matter-of-factly that it lost some of the sheer impact that it had on the story.

Remember that old Nickelodeon show called Angry Beavers? CC reminds me of those bad movies they watch in their dam. With the microphones showing and everything.

More Chrono Cross hating. Whatever....too lazy to get into this latest batch of complaints against it.

I liked that show a lot, but i dont see any relation between CC and those movies they watched.
