Alcoholic Drink Recipies

It's my birthday tomorrow, and I turn 19 - drinking/smoking age in Canada. (^___________________^) My brother is going to take me drinking closer to Christmas, and my dad is going to take me out tomorrow, so that'll be fun. I was wondering:

Do the NPF patrons know any good drink recipies, and would they disclose their secrets?

I was never a big drinker, so anything on the soft side would be appreciated - but I wanna try everything, so feel free to write down anything. (=3)

Red Headed Slut ~ She is your best friend, just remember, you will not feel it until you stand up. Make a point of walking around a bit after each one, otherwise your "Am I wasted" meter will be off.

Beer's always a good place to start what with it being lighter than most other alcohol usually.

On the liquour side I've always been fond of whiskey, especially Dry or just Straight. Though the latter of those is definitely not on the lighter side.

I don't really drink cocktails.

Well my dear, it depends I supose in what category you want to embark yourself in. I only have one thingy of advice for you and that would be STAY AWAY FROM THE COOLERS, I REPEAT NO SMIRNOFF ICE, VEX, A.K.A. NO BOTTLED FRUITY DRINK (most likely colorful!)

#1 Beer: Beer will be the best friend you'll ever make in a bar. Stay away from Coors Light (its got not enough alcohol in it! american beer...typical, and it taste later water even when you haven't begun da drinking!) and I am not fond of the dark beers so much myself, so stay away from GUINESS!!! DAAAA!! *Blue, Alexander Keith and Moosehead recommended

#2 Shots: MMM the sweet, sweet taste of Sobriety...NOT, now shots are fun and they come in all sort of flavours and mixed and sizes! Screw the 1oz. make it a double! But remember kids, don't take more than 5 shots at once, you will get alcohol poisining and you WILL DIE! the key to do them inbetween beers or B*tch drinks. * Southern Comfort, Blowjobs and Jack Daniels recommended

#3 B*itch Drinks: B*tch drinks are those fruity nice looking colorful drinks girly girls seem to drink all the time at bars. Now do not get the wrong impression, they may be pussy lookin' but some of em' will get you feeling high as a kite! (Works best with mixture of marijuana). Again these drinks come in many shapes, sized, flavours and mixtures. Just ask the bar tender to add a bunch of crap you like with some juice and SHAZAM! You got yoself a B*tch drink. * Porn stars, Flavored martini's and Ameretto & coke recommended

And don't forget to mix them all together in your tummy, that will get you smashed :D! Non-mixing is for pussies!!!!

Beer is not lighter than shots, in fact it is much heavier.

As for bitch drinks, my favorite is the Hurricane, have 3 or 4 of those and you're on your way to wasted. Oddly enough that is another one of those, it doesn't hit you till you stand up drinks...

Hardly. 5 shots is only 5 standard drinks which is about 3 beers (though I think it's about 6 or 7 or the standard American beers which are a fair bit weaker).

Now if you hitting beers you cannot go past a beer crate. Lots of beer in great bottles which aid taste, heaps heaps cheaper than normal. And the crates make good furniture (we have a crate sofa and a crate chest of drawers).
Or if you keep all the emptys you can swap the crate and the empties back in for another.
Or you can upgrade to a keg.

As for spirits while I'm a whiskey man who likes it straight if you want cocktails, I recommend the classic of cocktails, the Long Island Ice Tea.
Take some vodka, white rum, tequila and gin and generally another one, like some triple sec (common) or a strong malted whiskey (what I used) and take a good chunk of each, generally a shot. Then throw in a couple shots of lemon/orange juice and fill the rest of the glass with coke and some ice and it served. Very nice.

But really I recommend experimenting. Don't just throw things together though, that never works. Just take things you like and think will work well together and try it.
Get a whole lot of spirits and have a cocktail party and let people try stuff. You never know what they'll invent.

A shot is 1.5 beers that are legal to sell in the US, or many less Steel Reserves which have a way higher percentage than they claim. Your poisoning level depends on tolerance and weight.

One of my favorite drinks is much like the Irish Carbomb (Baileys, Jameson's and a half pint of Guiness), but instead of the Guiness you use a local brew from one of the bars 'round these parts called a coffee stout (it's got coffee beens brewed in with it!), a caffeinated dark beer. It tastes like so much heaven, and in about 30 minutes the caffeine kicks in and you perk right back up! I prefer to keep those for later in the night, its more fun than a vodka Redbull or a Rum/Jack & Coke, and has similar effects.

Anyway, always keep the adage of "Liquor before beer and you're in the clear. Beer before liquor you've never been sicker!" in mind.

Well, I've gone in with my dad to check out the liquor store, and at his request ("Don't start with whiskey.") came out with a few bottles of wine.
