HURRAH! my first post!
 

i was wondering what i could do here. please reply with solutions

recently, me and 4 of my friends have started a game of d&d ver. 3.5.
right now we are all lvl 4 and our party consists of a meatsheild (Human Fighter), elven cleric, and the elven wizard and insanely powerful githzerai monk trade places as the dm. I am a halfing sorcerer with a bastard sword and a penchant for shocking grasp. They are all telling me that i'm worthless just because i don't have magic missle. But time and again, i have shocked everything to hell (including a lvl5 lizardfolk cleric) and have done a good deal of killing with the sword, crossbow, and javelins.

I was thinking that maybe i should kill them and steal there stuff and take it to the "No Questions Asked Ye Olde Pawne Shopppe" (especially the wizard and except for the fighter, cuz let's face it, as badass in melee as i am i still need a meatshield).

Just wondering what u all thought, please help me

I agree. Only kill ONE of your friends with a shocking grasp embued hand to the face... then show his or her corpse to the others and proclaim that the next person who questions your abilities gets a shocking grasp to the crotch... as that you're a halfling, and it'd be much easier to reach their crotches. Which brings me to my next point: Halflings suck.

I wouldn't mess with a halfling who threaten to shock my genitals by squeezing them tightly, I'll tell you that. I'd go with Krylo's idea.

wait, how does a halfling sorcerer wield a bastard sword? wouldnt that thing be way too big for the lil'l fella? i would imagine it would be like a five-and-a-half hand sword.

I always thought that sorcerers in general couldn't wield anything better than a dagger. Or is that just Balders Gate?

Baldurs gate, you can learn how to wield it thanks to feats

Isn't it a large object though? For a halfling thta's too big...or maybe 3.5 fixes that issue.

Yeah, go with Krylo's idea. Never mess with a halfling that has Shocking Grasp.

In 3.5 they have differant weapons sizes. It's possible to have a weapon that's large for a small PC but normal for a medium PC. For example a "small" greatsword -made for Small PCs- deals a d10+1.5 Str bonus. If I remember right a Small bastard sword deals 1d8.

I have a question for the halfling tho...
WHY THE HELL USE A FEAT TO GET PROFICIENCY IN A BASTARD SWORD WHEN YOU HAVE A FIGHTER TO GO MELEE FOR YOU?!?!?!
