Afro Samurai is the kind of cartoon where the villain cuts off the head of the hero's father with a six-shooter.

I just thought that needed to be said.

Afro Samurai is the definition of an action anime. There is only enough plot to justify that time between fights and give an ending. One of those things, you just shouldn't think too much about, like Dr. McNinja, best to just sit back and enjoy

Damn I really wanna watch this cause anything that has Samuel L. Jackson in it has got to be good.

From what I've seen, there are way too many camera angle changes, so you end up not knowing what the heck is going on, besides some guys fighting.

Looks like someone didn't watch the entire series.

It's SLJ. If SLJ were a weather report, it'd be:

"Alright folks, today we're going to be seeing some heavy Samuel L. Jackson, which means you should stay indoors to avoid afternoon beatings."

I really liked the series, as Aero said you kind of take it for what it is. To this day I still love watching the first fight between Jinno (or Gino?) and Afro.

Oddly enough the majority of the voicing Samuel L. Jackson did was Ninja Ninja, the most fucking annoying and detracting character from the whole series, so he really didn't add a whole lot to the anime. Well, aside from initially drawing me to it.

oddly enough my cousin gave me an afro samurai shirt for christmas. I'm going to go back and watch it again.

Yeah I got to the end and he has like a mutant third hand with a knife in it? Seriously that's a whole lot less cool.

I think I'm just gonna choose to remember it as Evildude cutting Dad's head off with a gun, just cause that way's a whole lot more cool.
