Save Crono!
My Fellow 8 Bit Fans, as you probably know Gamespy.com is running a tournament poll to determine the greatest game of all time. Via their crazy extra life system, Knights of the Old Republic is in a bracket it doesn't belong in. Its inthe process of beating Chrono Trigger. WE CAN SAVE IT! We need 500 votes . Thats all. I know enough people read this forum in 20 minutes to fulfill that need. Rise to the challenge, or let this classic be forgotten. You know what to do. Go here. And vote.

Yes, we know, because this makes three topics for this.
|
Personally I voted for Grim Fandango. It owns every game on that stupid chart except for Deus Ex.

By the way, in the category of RPGs, I liked the Mother series better than Chrono Trigger. |
Three of these topics? All on page one? Urge to kill rising...
And while I heard Grim Fandago was good, I never played it, so my vote will go with CT. EDIT - Polls are closed... Thankfully, now these stupid threads will vanish... |

Would people like Chrono Trigger so much if it wasn't a Square game?
|
I would. I like plenty of non-Square RPGs. Suikoden 1+2, Star Ocean, and some others. I just think CT was really a cut above the rest. In my opinion, the only game to surpass CT was FFVI, but to each his own.

Yes. Actually, I didn't know Chrono Trigger was a Square game until I was about halfway through it. This is because my TV is kinda old so it takes a while to boot up the color. So I'd turn on the SNES first (don't know why...I should've turned the TV on first in retrospect) and then the TV. By then the Square logo was gone. I really am not much of a Square fan. Yes, I've played all the Final Fantasies but 5, but really, I didn't like any of the ones past 6. CT is probably hands down the best RPG I've ever played.
