hehe. thats great. truth be told though, it is actually pretty logical. Black mage threatened each of them with their lives and was attempting to force them to be mass murderers in the abscence of thief about a hundred comics back. Black mage has been constantly trying to kill them all; and while thief is suave enough to work around that and play it to his advantage, and fighter is too oblivious and impervious to notice, red mage sees black mage's life as a serious threat to his continued existence.

yay for Red Mage. I still think its great that they are afraid of fighter, I mean I could be mistaken(could be=almost definitely) but im pretty sure its the first time you see fear from them

I honestly think I could hack it. But then again, I have somewhat of a custom class, which uses pole weapons for a range advantage and still has access to some amount of magic-like abilities in four flavors. And various other means of protection.

Heh, Black Mages "friendship" to Fighter finally pays off and directly saves his life.
