I think we've all heard something that made us wish to be the end of all things.

Is this a skill aquired by all black mages, or is it specific to this black mage?

So BM's face is made of the end of all? And onion kid survived that?!
Oh wait its a fantasy. Aw man.

Is that Ultima? Sure is a freaky animation.

Black mage is, and shall always be, kick-ass coolness personified. Plus a hat.

I happen to suspect that Black Mage's face is in fact perfectly normal, and Onion Kid's unfortunate fit of insanity was the result of ... uhm, something else entirely.

So, in a sense, by keeping his hat on Black Mage is committing the ultimate act of kindness?

Insanity most likely.

Or perhaps in an astounding feat of omniscience he saw what his future would be like as a result of Black Mages existence and abandoned all hope. Better he had not found it again.

He has seen the condition of this world and knows that it is not kindness but cruelty to allow it to continue! Plus it's much more fun to do it to everyone individually. (Or at least in city sized groups)

Awww... wook at the wittle Bwack Mage. He's so happy! ^_^

Since it is likely that Sarda is Red Mage does anyone else wonder if Onion Kid is in fact Black Mage. They both have horrid luck, and what OK is going through suddenly makes BM believable as a character.
