Demios can steer a chocobo, just got dust in his eyes. A lot of dust. And then there was some random wrong turns.

Demios is kinda stupid and gets into fights a lot, usually ending up hurt. Badly. He just never learns his lesson.

The so-called half-assed bird-man just told you two to break it up so we wouldn't have a PvP battle.

And he's one of the "good" guys.

I'd like to point out that my post was from the IC perspective of IHMN's character... not from the ooc perspective where I know all of the reasons for the actions. I simply went through the logic through which he would assume you three were idiots (with Deimos being the most idiotic, and Musashi being the least).

J Man 03-18-2004 11:49 PM

Guys, I suggest we stop all the posting within the role playing thread, it's becoming a little much for the people who aren't there.

Demon with a Glass Hand 03-18-2004 11:54 PM

Arrogant, you say?

As in 'Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance.' or 'Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others.'

Yeah, I can see him throwing down a couple of choice words, but he could also have dismissed the duel by scoffing at [Jman] and walking away.

For why should he waste his time teaching a whelp a lesson?

Anyways, I find it all very entertaining. The tension and testosterone in this sausage factory is not only hilarious, it's also fucking hilarious.

Game on!

I think I'm just gunna combine the inevtiable...yes, the next Discussion thread will double as the Omake thread...tournament will be next chapter. Do you want to do it individually, or all at once? (I.e. First the archery tournament, then the group fight, then so on and so forth, or just do it all at once?)

TheSpiritOfVengance 03-19-2004 06:57 PM

Hmm One at a time seems nice but then so does all at once. I'll leave it up to a coin toss...One at a time...

Krylo 03-19-2004 07:16 PM

How about a combination of the two ideas? Have the actual fights take place in between the other events. I think that's how I would do it if I was actually hosting something like this. The fights are what most people are going to want to see, so having a bunch of other stuff at either the beginning or the end and they're going to want to come late or early to avoid it... but if you stagger it like that, they gotta get tickets to everything. Plus... even fights would get boring if it was just one after another with no breaks... and the spectators wouldn't have to worry about missing one event to see another, AND it would mean people wouldn't have to wait as long for the fights to get over to do their other things.

I.E. Round one of single battles, chocobo race, round one of group battles, archery, round two of single battles, etc. etc.

Edit: Also, what's the 'warm-up area', as spirit put it, like? Are there rooms where groups/people can hang out together/get ready in until it's time to fight/race/whatever... or is it like a big hallway dealie, or what?

BMHadoken 03-19-2004 07:52 PM

I was thinking hallway dealie with small rooms branching off for the on deck people.

And is that two votes for one at a time, just intersperse the events?
