Haha, and that's like ...summer for you non-floridians.
|
Where do you live Corn? Seriously, it's 55 f***ing degrees here. God, I do kinda like winter. I mean, throwing snowballs is fun.
|
It's been roughly 40F here in Wisconsin. We're not supposed to get those temperatures until March! :gonk:
|
It was 40C(105f give 5 or so) yesterday and high humidity( it was 35 today, still not pleasant and higher humidity, like walk outside and rivers of sweat humidity) and we had 43 on the weekend, and one of the power plants went offline(which happens far too often when the demand goes up), so no air cons. We also hit a December record of 45(117F) on Boxing Day.
So I'll trade with you guys happily. |
I'm confused. I came out of hibernation and it's not spring! Help!!
By that, I mean it's +3C degrees, raining, and drenched in fog up here. This is the time of year it's supposed to be unrelenting winds that freeze one's face in under 15 minutes of exposure. It is supposed to be -40C. (Okay, -20 C with wind chill adding another -20C) Instead it's like England with more snow and less moors. It's kinda nice, I'm not that upset abut not freezing my eyes shut, but still... hella weird. |
It was 65 degrees here yesterday (Chicago south suburbs). I'm not complaining!
|
Well now its back to 80 degree's.
Florida and its CRAZY weather. So CRAZY |
The problem with the current weather, and frankly, why the newscasters are perpetually wrong for the past few years, is that no one really knows what's going on with it.
Seriously. Weather forecasting is based on patterns of established conditions that indicate subsequent weather. Those patterns have changed, and continue to do so, with human impact on the environment. My local weather has used such words as "interesting" and "new" when describing weather patterns. If you heard either of those in an operating room, would you feel comfortable? It should be the same with the climate. Honestly, global warming has turned the weather on its ear. Two towns in Africa are 30 miles apart. One of them is underwater, while the other hasn't seen rain in years. And the scary part is that the only thing holding global warming in check is the fact that we're blotting out the sun with our particle emissions to cause global dimming. And those particles further mess up precipitation. Despite what we think, humans are not infallible, not always right, don't always know what's best, and don't even know what's going on half the time. Our blundering is causing worldwide damage as we speak. Just be glad we're dimming the sun, or else we'd all be fried already. :shifty: |
I've got all you guys beat, it's been negative 20 here in southern Minnesota.
