What Video Game/Comic Book Movies Would You Like To See Made?

You heard me. What movies would you like to see made? Don't say "Doom 3 would make an awesome movie," though. Read below for the rules:

If you aren't commenting, just posting a movie idea, you must have three things - aside from the fact that all ideas have to be about a comic book character or a video game character:

1) What the movie is, and what it's premise is - so if it's a movie about Duke Nukem. What's Duke going to be doing?

2) Which actors you would like to see, and what characters they would portray.

3) Give us a scene or two - what are the most dynamic, story-filled dialogue/monologue scenes - or what scene is just cool for blowing stuff up?

Hell I really want them to do a movie for Halo, but instead of doing it off of the game why not do something more movie-oriented and use, oh I dunno, Fall of Reach, since that was actually a good story?

I can't even begin to describe who would play John, since it would be through like three stages of his life. But, I do know some other people.

Samuel L Jackson, channeling a bit of his Jules power, would make a great Cheif Petty Officer Mendez. Carrie Anne Moss would make a great Catherine Halsey. JK Simmons could be Captain Keys.

Main reason I want this movie - Just for the scene where John kills the marines on accident in the sparring ring, complete with bullet time and everything. Always liked that part.

Personally, I'd like to see a movie based on Justice League. I would think that it would have to be probably part of trilogy (as most things are).

Who would play who, tough question, but probably Brandon Routh and Christian Bale as Superman and Batman; maybe Holly Valance as Supergirl. I suppose that a good base would be the DCAU Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, but not entirely following their arcs.

It'd probably start with the formation of the league and fighting off a major threat from Earth and untrusting governments versus metahumans. "We must preserve the human race from these.....'Super-Men!'" A second movie would probably be an arc of events in the fight against Darkseid and Doomsday. Alas, the third movie I'd prefer it to be centered around the 'Kingdom Come' continuity where in the future the league gets disbanded when metahumans start being vigilant and Superman retires out of disgust.

But that's just me.

Well if you mean 'made into a good movie' I'd like to see Zelda. Realistically, I dont see them doing it well, but I'd like to see a good movie of it.

If we are talking something more practicle. How about Metroid? Bounty Hunter killing life sucking space parasites and pirates, hard to screw that up. Then all they'd have to do is keep Samus a loner, preferably constantly in the suit to avoid temptation of force feeding us another love story

What would the story be? Metroid has never really been 'movie material'. It's always been about the player's sense of isolation and exploration.

Dammit now I want to play Super Metroid.

On the Justice League idea; that'd be really nice if there wasn't some sort of Movie Bi-Law that states that all movies have to have origins explained - They'd have to cover Green Arrow, Green Lantern, the Flash, Supes, Bats, Wonder Woman, and (I suppose if they really wanted to) Aquaman all in a single movie before moving onto the main plot.

Though, to be fair, it would be kind of cool to have them just take after whichever films - Like, continue out of Superman I, II, and Returns, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, the old 1980s Flash series, etc etc., then just have the movie be about each of their villains working together until they do their whole "Put the hands over each other" and agree to work together.

That'd be pretty sweet.

Paranoia RPG, the Movie

Sure, it only had a brief, and not very good, 6 issue comic run..., but that's fair enough game for it to count for this thread. (At least in my book.)

Typical team mission (maybe The Yellow Clearance Black Box Blues), with typical humorous & repeated deaths of the main cast (which all have a number of back-ups).

Throw in the psychotic character of The Computer

You are in Error. No one is Screaming. Have a Nice Daycycle Citizen.

And its all sweetness. Only the writers of DND might get it wrong.

I admittedly only made my case right now to people who already know everything there is about Paranoia, but I'm short for time.

SWB
- Perhaps my next clone will do better.

I'd like to see them do a Legacy of Kain trilogy.

Blood Omen can be one movie, Soul Reaver another movie, and Defiance can wrap up the whole scenario. The CGI would have to be quite amazing, however, otherwise it would just look stupid.

As for actors... I dunno. The best thing about the characters in the games were their wonderful voices, but the people themselves don't fit the part. Of course, they could always pull a Silver Surfer and have the original voice actors speak and have other actors play the actual people.

Actually I think Metroid could make a great movie. Keep in mind there is a whole galactic civilization out there somewhere that these space pirates are preying on. Samus could come to save a small colony or track down the kidnapped crew of a space transport.

But please dear God yes keep her in the suit and not have a love interest. The great thing about keeping her in the suit is you don't have to worry about physical appearance and just grab an actress who can play a calm, collected heroine.

Justice League in 2010.

I always wanted to see a live action Dragon Ball movie, just cause I thought it would be hilarious. Oh wait, they are coming out with that one too.

The Boys would be an awesome fucking movie. Why? Because it's very simple. Superpowered people (supes) get power from a special serum. All of them. 99% of supes are jerks and need to be kept in line. The Boys beat the everlovin' tar out of them including ripping out body parts and breaking noses in fountains of blood while looking cool in black leather coats.
