-simple dialogue trees
-Side quests

While having Bioware make a Sonic game is a strange move, I think I like what I'm hearing. It seems Super Mario RPGish, and I'll certainly give it a try. I just hope it doesn't boast any convoluted melodramatic storyline, as the last games in the franchise have been save the Sonic Rushes.

I pretty much agree with what you said and add that since Bioware is making it the story should be at the least bearable. I also REALLY like the bit about hand drawn watercolour art.

Turn based battles for SONIC? Wah??? Maybe it'll work but it seems weird to me.

I am liking this too, but I'm reserving my judgment for when the game actually comes out (there are so many ways to fuck this game up...). I just hope that Big's presence in this game doesn't cause us to go through yet some more lame-ass fishing quests...

Nice. Anyone here play the DS RPG Contact. It's similar to that in the handrawn backgrounds. Though Contact had a different style and used Sprite characters not polygons. Very nice, good to anticipate a Sonic game with hope again. Not that Rush was bad, but I wasn't expecting good from that, it was a pleasant surprise.
