Season 8 South Park

I saw the season premiere last night, and wow. That was just flat out hilarious. I'm not sure if a lot of you anime-freaks would enjoy it, because a large part of the episode is a parody of (or homage to, I haven't decided yet) anime. I thought it was a dead-on representation of anime like Sailor Moon. The "japanese" song they played during the battles was probably the funniest thing I've heard, mostly because that's what just about all anime theme songs sound like. However, most of the references to "The Passion of Christ" were a bit weak. As was the rushed jab at the FCC at the end.

But overall, a great start to a new season of South Park.

"Hay hay lets go! Kika shu! Hai hai ma tsuno ono protect my balls! Tokugawa irua so let's fighting. Let's fighting love..."

This is now one of my favorite episodes of South Park. The best part was when they fought with Professor Chaos. Oh, and those that have seen the episode, don't spoiler what happens here. The shock value is just too hilarious to be ruined.

The humor in the rushed jab was that although the entire episode centered around violence, at the end all they were concerned about was the nudity. Kind of like how violence is a lot more prevelant on TV but a split second flash of Janet's boob caused an uproar. "I told you guys it was a wardrobe malfunction."

But yeah, the episode was great and also now one of my favorites. My roommate and I taped it and watched it again and then just kept rewinding the Japanese song. Good times.

That episode was hilarious. Especially when Cartman walked across the stage naked because he thought he was invisible. It was just something about the look on his face.

I kind of cringed at some of the parts when they were ninjas.

Actually, the lyric was: "Hey hey, let's go kick assu!" But yes, the song definately was the best part. I can't say that I found Butters being left to die very funny tho, I felt terrible for him the whole time. His initial wounding was funny, though.

Heh, it's rather ironic, because it was sort of like that for me when I got my first weapons.. brought home a katana one day, and they freaked.. but, they just said not to buy any more.. Of course, I did. But they never do anything about it.

Protect my balls!

Yes, greatest episode of south park... ever! I'm glad it didn't go like the last season premeire, that just annoyed me with the crab people.

As an anime fan, I can say that this episode is a loving tribute to most action anime. I absolutely loved it, and it was hilarious, especially the stuff about the passion of the christ and the end about the janet thing. Every single part of this episode was inspired, and I just couldn't stop laughing as cartman tried to cross the stage.

South park is about to enter its golden years, as appearant by the last episode.

What I like about South Park is that it always knows exactly how to adress issues and make people look like complete idiots. Like at the end poking fun at the people ignoring violence. "I guess parents don't care about violence if there's sex stuff involved."

I think I nearly died of laughter with the Cartman thing. I hope they show that episode more than the other episodes that were nothing compared to it.
