There's Always A Counterbalance
There are three things in this world that I believe in:
1) Karma
2) Everything happens for a reason
3) That there is some guiding parental figure out there
Now, some of you remember that a while ago, when I was walking around late night, I saw three high school students dividing lines of coke on a ciggarette box with their student ID card on the side of the highway. It kinda made me think that everything was going down the toilet, the whole "kids today have lost their innocence," thing, that we were all doomed. Okay, maybe not that dramatic, but I did feel a little bit bad for what seemed to be the deflowering of todays youth.
Today, I've got some business in the next town over, Nanaimo, and to get there I need to take the bus. I'd take the bus from my house, than once I'm downtown, I'd take another bus to Nanaimo. The thing is, I missed the bus from my place - and as I madly chased after it, there was a woman who stopped her car in front of me, and she offered to help me chase the bus. So we did. After about ten minutes of honking and signalling, (which the bus didn't see) she let me out, I thanked her, and we went our seperate ways.
So I was about a half hours walk from where I wanted to be, and I was going to miss my other bus... if not for the second car that pulled over and offered me a ride. This time it was two kids 'round my age... maybe a little older. All I know is that they were nice and listened to good rock music. They drove me all the way that I needed to go, and we went out seperate ways.
The point is that there is still good in the world, if we look hard enough for it.
