Damn, so has everyone gotten their disks yet? Or are they still sending them. I signed up too. :( I should have got into it, as I signed up just hours after it opened.

So who heres getting WOW?
 

Who all here is getting World of Warcraft when it comes out, and also who signed up for the beta. Just wondering

They're doing it in stages, adding more people gradually. If you didn't get in in the first wave, you still have a chance to get in when they increase the server pops. So don't despair yet, comrades!
edit: That's not how it works. They don't pick people based on when they signed up, they pick them based on location relative to the servers, computer specs (they want to test as many computer configurations as possible), and dumb luck.

I'm definitely getting the game, if only because of the things I know Blizzard can do with this title and the things I've seen on their site, www.WorldofWarcraft.com.

Actually, you are mostly wrong as well. Most of the people selected so far (if not all) are involved with fan sites. However much I may be against that "selective" choosing, that's how they want to do it, it's all business IMO.

Okay, I need to rant about what I mentioned in the above post. I just went browsing some of these "fansites" and one in particular really caught my attention and my absolute rage at giving "fansites" priority in stuff like this.

http://www.wowlegions.com Go check it out. Not a bad layout, but once I started clicking links what I found is...nothing. So many of the links didn't work or sent me to a blank white page that said "in renovation." Their forum spewed out MySQL errors everywhere. Basically, the only thing I found working was their poll about which class I want to be and their screenshot gallery.

Maybe I should have thrown together a webpage and called it a fansite. Oh well, guess I'll keep that in mind when there's another beta I'm interested in participating in.

Don't be like the idiots threatening to kill themselves over at B-net because they didn't get into beta.

I can never get into the cool betas. Just junk like Chrome. Bleah.
