The logo should also function as a main-page link. It's just one of those things people expect as a standard thing for web-pages to do.

...Though if it's a choice between main-page link and logo-randomization I totally choose the latter.

It's no choice. the logo is literally stapled to the background. Don't ask why, Mirai picked this theme. That means it's unclickable unless you want the entire background to be clickable.

Yes I realize there's a way to make a specific part of everything clickable but fuck you that's difficult and I skipped class that day.

You could drop a clear gif right on top of it with some absolute positioning and make the gif a link, perhaps?
