Ghost is gone... for now.
Hello. This is my first post. I am writing because I know Ghost Who Walks visited these forums quite often. He is gone now. He shipped out for duty yesterday afternoon, and we don't know when he will get back. He asked me, among other things, to keep his comic site going while he is gone. I just want you friendly people to know that I will update the site (the link is in my signature) to the very best of my ability. If anyone would like to pass on an encouraging message to Ghost, I will see what I can do for you.
Thanks. And don't haze the new guy. :) |
Hm, Ghost is gone. Too bad, I didn't know him or anything, but it is a little sad when anyone is shipped out. I actually read his comics and they were really good, hope he's back soon.
|
where'd he ship out to? and which armed forces?
|
My guess is Iraq. Or maybe he's going to Afghanistan. But either way I wish Ghost luck.
|
Ghost is a Marine, but he also speaks Spanish and Italian. He's en route, so I hear, to Madrid for intelligence translation. He will probably be stationed either back in Virginia or in Germany or Japan after that.
|
Golly. Please let him know that he'll be missed around here, and that we're all hoping he'll be back soon. I know Sosa especially really enjoyed some of the stuff he posted here.
|
Hey, I have figured out how to get Ghost's website up and running again. Check it out here, I got the latest episode running correctly now. Hope you enjoy it. I'll start updating his site farily regularly. I'm going to Orlando for the next few days to give a presentation. If anyone is interested in solid state band gap dynamics, you should visit my hotel for a personal lesson. :D

Wish Ghost good luck. Marine, huh? Well, tell him he'll be missed. ...A lot.

Ladies and gentlemen.* Due to circumstances outside of my control, I have been recalled to report for duty at Norfolk, VA.* I ship out Thursday afternoon.* I don't know when I will be back.* I leave this site in the capable hands of my friend Mora.* He has the site password and access to my email.* He also has my scripts, my sprite sheets and my paintings if he decides to continue the series in my absence.* I hope you continue to enjoy my work.* I did enjoy creating it. Farewell, Semper Fi, Signed:* PFC J. "Ghost" Crowe" important part there was the Norfolk, VA shame on u! not even knowing where ur friend is going! now im going to spend my free time reading through the sites archives |
Do you have any idea what goes on in Norfolk? The big naval bases and such? As long as you live close enough, you go there to deploy. Recall orders aren't very specific, unless you want to scare people away ;) .
To quote Ghost, "As long as it is not another f*ing desk job, I'll be happy." ... did you like the archives? I think I'm doing a good job keeping it up. The software isn't that hard once you get used to it. |
It's a well-done comic. I believe we will see an evolution in it, as one does in other comics as well, where the skill slowly increases to something like what Brian has today. It has potential and looks promising.
Plus, I've always liked that Ghost character. |
