What's the best torrent client.
I tire of BitTorrent's unadultered suck, and seek to gain a greater ship for my pi... legal activities upon the sea of the interwebs. Yet I do not want to download something new only to be plagued by similar inabilities to locate peers even when I know they exist, and have enough memory leaks to slow my computer to a crash eventually (like, after three days, but STILL).
So what's the best damn torrent client out there, that I might make it me own? |
Utorrent is what I use right now.
I also used ABC (Another Bittorrent Client) for a while, but somehow it stopped working so wonderfully recently and I had to get another client. |
Bitcomet seems to be the most stable and user friendly and idiot proof one I've ever seen, with a built in FLV player which is always nice.
PS the FLV player doesn't suck. |
I like BitLord myself... but then again I don't know any better...
|
I use uTorrent myself, and I'm loving it. No worries about memory leaks, and it runs like a dream. The DHT feature allows you to find peers, too.
|
IIRC, ProphetX (if it matters) suggested uTorrent.
This could be completely wrong. XD |
Since Prophet suggested it, and it's what I always use. uTorrent. It's lightweight and stable, like the website says.
|
I like Bitcomet just because it's really simple to use and has great Stability
|
I use BitComet, I remember using some other one before, but it sucked and I don't remember its name.
|
I took a run with uTorrent.
I like it about as much as BitComet, they seem about as Stable. I ran both on seperate cores downloading the same torrent, both finished within 10 minutes of each other, with uTorrent winning the race. I'm sticking with BitComet though, just for familiarity's sake. |
