Yeah, you've either seen this elsewhere, or in the Mass Effect thread, but if you haven't! That's who this is important to. It's important news! Seriously!

But, in reality, I post it because it reduced me to gibbering for several minutes.

Jack Thompson proves that Hell has frozen over.

...Huh. How 'bout that. Did Thompson finally snap so hard that, due to relativity, he came back around to a sane and well-adjusted human being?

No, the scene is nothing more than a hollywood sex scene in a PG-13 movie, in order to go against mass effect, he'd also have to go against hollywood, and he knows he does'nt have the juice.

In Other News, reality has unwoven itself and caused the Earth to spin off its axis and fall into the sun.

Odds are, this is Jack Thompson trying to remain relevant. He's got quite the reputation as the idiot who mouths off against violent games, at the drop of the hat. But I suspect he's starting to cotton on to the fact that the News agencies are starting to tire of that shtick.

So I assume he's trying to reinvent himself as a game reviewer, in the sad attempt to get another 15 minutes of fame. Despite having no industry experience, and I very much doubt he even plays the games he rallies against.

Just do your best to ignore him. Its for the best.

This isn't really a big deal. Jack Thompson's crusade is specifically focused on Rockstar. He's not going to bother to deal with a BioWare game.

That explains the recent temperature dip.

I am gonna a bit of question asking, but isn't jack siding with the pundits on Fox. I mean you would think he would have attacked BioWare (and to an extent EA) for introducing sex to our precious children.

It's an M-rated game. And frankly, you have to work to get to the naughty bits. Plus, yeah, there's what, 2 minutes of nothing but shots of hands and faces? He's emailed worse than that to the judges handling his trial.

I'd like to see what Thompson says about the Witcher (its quality as a game aside).

Somehow, I think that ol' JT is just trying to seem less vitriolic what with all the shit had to go through when he was acting like a douche about anything that seemed remotely related to video games.
