It was more of a semi-mockery of the tendency of competitive play to make the game as technical vanilla as possible, when it is supposed to be this off-the-wall slapstick, crazy action game.
I understand you were joking, but all the same. Can we not do this again? I'm about hoarse with arguing this point and honestly I worry that talking about it again might wake Kenryuko Maxis from the dead.

And yes, I can even disagree with the logic of "The game is so weird why is it so competitive?"

Well, if I remember correctly, Sakurai said in one of the interviews that the disc had enough content to fill three separate games, so I would say that yes, it is the largest soundtrack ever.
Given the fact that it is the One Ring of soundtracks, yeah I'd say so.

I mean I got those downloads, and when I caught (of all things) the Shop theme from Earthbound, I was like, "Okay, this game has everything."

Maybe our best option to have Isaac in SSB4 would be to force Camelot to work on Golden Sun 3? What the hell are they doing right now anyways? It's not as if there were a lot of JRPGs in the market right now.

Demonlink2 02-03-2008 04:33 AM

They're busy planning the next Mario Tennis or something stupid.

FORMAL LETTER OR COMPLAINT TIME:

"Dear Camelot:
Stop sucking so bad. Get back to work on my Golden Sun series. I wanna have people in The Next Smash Bros. Also: Mario Tennis sucks less because of your design, but still sucks. GOLDEN SUN PLOX.

Love, Demonlink2.

PS GOLDEN SUN GOLDEN SUN GOLDEN SUN"

...

I need letter writing skills.

Mirai Gen 02-03-2008 05:06 AM

Actually I think that would work nicely. Direct and to the point.

I also want to share tons of matches by competitive people. You can see how they are adapting, as well as some insanely awesome strategies involving mindgaming (SNAKE AND GANON): http://www.wifiwars.com/?q=node/75

Wow. Super Smash Brothers is probably the only video game series that is just as fun to observe as it is to play. I loved all of those matches (especially seeing Sheik go down in flames, go Lucario!)! If I'm ever half as good as those players, I will be satisfied. The Bowser match was just kooky o_O

Hehe, same here. Not to mention the ears on Wolf Kirby. So silly.

Man, that Wolf/Cap fight - Wolf's forward smash barely sent Cap across the platform at 150%!
Towards the end though, it looks like they discovered a technical move - it seems you can Up-Smash out of a dash. I see some more of that in Marth v Pit...

Hmm.. Robot's laser eye seems to be a passive charge-up.

Oh wow, look at match ten: Bowser now has his own suicide throw.
