Which is the better Lunar? Silver Star Story or Eternal Blue

I know that I have debated this for a really long time. I find both games very very good, but I find it hard to choose which one is the champ. If some of the other people would give me their opinions then I could made an educated guess. Or I might just argue with you :)

Hmm, yes, that is a tricky question. Right now, I'm inclined to say Eternal Blue, but that's probably because I just got to play it for the first time a few weeks ago. So, I'm not really sure. But I did really like the crests in Eternal Blue, it was extremely helpful to be able to put more magic spells on Ronfar and Jean.

I'd say they're both excellent, and worth every penny. I really couldn't decide between them... although I do like the epilogue in Eternal Blue, that allows you go walk around the entire world and see how people have reacted to your saving it, amongst other things. Hmm... I don't know.

It's a hard choice isn't it. That is the main reason I made this thread, to get advice by upstanding gamers like you guys :)

Well, SSS offers the better story in my opinion, while Eternal Blue takes the already excellent battle system and ramps it up to a whole new level...ahh, just spend the thirty bucks to pick em both up, I can't choose, they're both so great...when will see a Lunar 3 I wonder...

Really! Working Designs have really been hanging out at the arcade too much. They need to buckle down and send us back into the world of Lunar!

Mike McC 03-19-2004 08:09 PM

Well, Working Designs doesn't actually make the Lunar games, Game Arts does. Working Designs just translates them and brings them over stateside. And there really hasn't been any new news on Lunar 3 in a few years, either....

Boy I really am incompitent. I need to take a look at some of my game's labels more closely. <sobs uncontrolably>

I haven't played either to completion, but from what I've sampled I was more fond of Eternal Blue. I also recently acquired the Sega CD versions of both games, though I haven't gotten to fire those up yet.

BMHadoken 03-20-2004 03:45 PM

How can you not complete them. Their great stories peak towards the end.
