re: The Rez rant.
What if we played Rez on the Dreamcast instead? :|
|
Then we would post threads in the proper forum. D:
Moved it for you. |
I played Rez on the DC, but own it for the PS2.
...What's an Xbox "Live"? ...Seriously, I'm not online with my 360, heh... |
I remember when we had a "Game Length vs Game Quality" debate get bantered around over a year ago, and I swear that Rez is like the complete essence of the far, far end of "Game quality, short length."

Rez HD is really great and it looks even better with bloom on
|
I actually didnt like Rez, mainly cause rail shooters dont interest me much. It also didnt help I beat it in like, an hour or 2.
|
I played the trial of Rez, finished the trial, and still have no idea what the hell was going on.
Is there something that you're supposed to do other than hold the fire button and look at enemies? I know that same phrase defines most shooters, but you don't even have AMMO in this. |
The game gets extremely difficult later on, both in later levels with more enemies at once and much more difficult bosses. The game is simple simple simple.
There's also the fact that the look, feel, music, and all sorts of effects make it some sort of crazy ultimate rail shooter. It helps to go into the options and read what the story's about, because trust me you will not understand shit unless you do so. |
Honestly the game never really gets too hard until stage 5, which not only is the longest stage in the game by a lot it also has a boss fight that lasts forever and any screw up will cost you a lot, and if you ever die during the fight you not only get a game over you get a bad ending too, and you have to go through the whole stage again.
Some of the Tera mode bosses are pretty difficult though. |
