I don't see anyone talking about this game, which is a real shame because it's pretty awesome.

Basically, you kill people with a lightsaber. The gameplay is fairly simplistic, but it's a lot of fun and somehow manages not to get old. It has the most perfect balance of button pressing and wiimote movements I've seen. You do all the basic attacks with A and B buttons and use the wiimote for finishing blows and wrestling.

The graphics are highly stylized to make up for their otherwise somewhat low quality. Personally, I think it looks great. Plus, there's ridiculous amounts of blood, sometimes so much that it actually blocks your vision (Don't worry, it's not that big of a deal).

As far as the story goes, it's mostly a spoof on videogame trends. You have to kill the top 10 assassins and become number 1. All the other assassins are ridiculously over the top, typically being some sort of cliche. The story eventually becomes really crazy, especially the ending (I'll say no more).

If you're looking for a good action game for the Wii, or just something to do while waiting for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, this is it.

I bought it, but I haven't been able to play it. Stupid college being so far away from my Wii.

I'm currently the rank #4 assassin, I'd be number one but I have to find those last 7 damn Lorikov Balls (is that a reference I don't get?)

I'm in love with the game, the style and sound compliment Travis perfectly. The only problem I have with the game is the mission and total play timers keep going while paused.

I've got a buddy who raves about how awesome it is -- make that two buddies -- but I haven't tried it myself. This is due at least in part to my Wii gathering dust in my video games storage thingie...

No More Heroes is the perfect excuse to undust it. I just tried it tonight and it was STRAWBERRY TO THE SHORTCAKE MOTHERFUCKER.

(spoilered because you might prefer a challenge) Did you buy the ground-stabber-dragon-radar beam katana attachment? Because if you did, they show up on your map. You can even find them all at once using the pause screen map. They're darker red dots. I didn't know you needed them to proceed, though, probably because I got them all before the #5 fight.

Also, isn't it STRAWBERRY ON THE SHORTCAKE? That's what ye ol' instruction book says.

Can't you pause the timers using the home button?

Also, I haven't bought the game yet, but it is on my to-buy list...as soon as I can find a used copy.

I stand corrected, but that doesn't diminish the awesomeness of that quote.

The game is one giant massive parody. And I won't say what actually happens in the ending, but it's basically Suda making fun of himself for how he ended his older games.

But a seriously great game over all. And the Rank 5 match, Letz Shake? So fucking hard. That shit just wasn't fair. I went online and looked up a walkthrough, since I must have died, like, 10 times on him alone. I mean, how did they really expect people to beat that massive weapon on your own, with only one health item?
